Hi. I'm writing about my upcoming surgery and would like to share about it with you all. I'm a 25 year old woman from Rhode Island with a starting weight of 345lbs. I've began this process earlier this year and finally got my surgery date set for December 2nd. I'm currently on day two of my pre op liquid diet and so far so good despite being a little bit tired. Thankfully I have a great support system consists of close friends and family. I can't wait to get this over with and start on a clean slate.

I apologize for the long hiatus but happy to say my RNY surgery went well. Not too much pain and was able to walk like I normally did before surgery. Got discharged after two days and so far everything is going smoothly as planned. Drinking my fluids is a little challenging but not impossible to manage and the shakes filled me up pretty quickly. Luckily I didn't get any nausea from anesthesia the day of my surgery and no gas pain shortly after I went home. I guess it's safe to say I was one of the lucky ones who don't have any side effects so far. For weight loss, so far I've lost 25lbs from the pre op diet on 11/11 till now. I think it's a good start for me and hopefully it'll be that way for the next few months
