    NEW RELATIONSHIP AFTER SLEEVE SURGERY

I am slowly entering the dating world. My plan is that if after a few dates I see the possibility of something long term then i will tell them. I feel this is something they will need to know if we are to be in a long term relationship. I anticipate some questions but since a lot of things revolve around food i woukd defiantly want them to know. Ideally I woukd love to meet someone who was also sleeved.
  2. Try adding cheese to the beans for one. If you are mixing protein shakes try using whole milk
  3. Wow goal weight at only 11 weeks The idea of trying not to loose weight sounds crazy after 30 years of being overweight and perpetually dieting. Seems simple...eat more calories
  4. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I know it's hard but you should be with somebody better. Someone who will respect you. I understand how you feel. After surgery I had the confidence to leave my husband of 10 years
  5. I have seen so many people on this very site post questions that scare me. I have seen multiple posts from people post op asking what their daily water and or protein goald should be.
  6. Talk to your nutritionist about what your plan allows
  7. I often mix half a frozen banana with my shakes

    Cheating post-OP

I don't think that having something soft one day before you're supposed to is very horrible but overall it is a good idea to stick to your plan.

    What can I expect?

it's really hard to say since everyone recovers differently. At 5 weeks out I was cleared for all foods and with that my energy was starting to come back. I can only speak for myself, but at 5 weeks I felt fine. But disney does involve lots of walking and lots of yummy foods. If you are cleared for all foods by then I would say go enjoy your trip and enjoy tiny bits of all the yummy stuff but stop and sit for a little bit every now and then

    Am I being delusional?

You definately need to do more research. This is not just "eating two bites and being full"

    Too FAT for GVS?

The sleeve can be the first step in a DS but it is also highly successful as a stand-alone procedure. My starting weight was un the 400s and i had the sleeve less than a year ago. Down to 220

    Can You Stretch Your Sleeve?

When done correctly your sleeve cannot stret h because that part of the stomach is removed. It may feel like some stretching because once all your swelling goes down you will ve able to eat a little more
  15. I still eat all the foods that make me feel good. My favorite food is sushi, i eat it whenever I want. I have ice cream when I want. I had a burger for dinner tonight.

    Solids

Yes it could hurt. Your stomach was cut and stapled. Don't you think that needs time to heal?

    Feelings of should I?

the surgery is major, life altering, permanent surgery. it is a big deal, something you shouldn't take lightly. Of course it's something you should think long and hard about, and cold feet are normal. You need to be honest with yourself about whether or not you really think you can stick to the diet for life. Odds are you are just having cold feet and you will be very happy after you heal from surgery. But you do need to seriously think about it

    Looking for a new shake

I get those carnation instant Breakfast high Protein shakes. They have 15g of protein. Then I add 3/4 of a scoop of my premiere Protein powder and some frozen fruit, half a banana or a couple of frozen strawberries.

    Alcohol 2 days preop

is alcohol really that important that you would risk having a possible complication during surgery?

    SEARCHING!

these are the only ones I can tolerate. They are actually very good. Almost like a candy bar but with a good amount of Protein. You can get the variety pack in costco
  24. I found out shorty before my surgery when on a weekend trip with my husband and parents. My father was super freaked out because of the horrible noises I was making in my sleep. I had no idea of course. I was so mad at my (soon to be ex) husband for knowing about it and never saying anything about it

    Wish I was losing faster

how is eating a couple of wings post op crazy? The whole reason to get the sleeve is to have restriction and not to be able to eat a lot. You are doing fine. Any loss is good.
