NEW RELATIONSHIP AFTER SLEEVE SURGERY
Sophie74656 replied to Nikki Monroe's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am slowly entering the dating world. My plan is that if after a few dates I see the possibility of something long term then i will tell them. I feel this is something they will need to know if we are to be in a long term relationship. I anticipate some questions but since a lot of things revolve around food i woukd defiantly want them to know. Ideally I woukd love to meet someone who was also sleeved. -

Emotionally abusive relationship not fixed by weight loss
Sophie74656 replied to provenzee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I know it's hard but you should be with somebody better. Someone who will respect you. I understand how you feel. After surgery I had the confidence to leave my husband of 10 years -

I often mix half a frozen banana with my shakes -
I don't think that having something soft one day before you're supposed to is very horrible but overall it is a good idea to stick to your plan.

What can I expect?
Sophie74656 replied to doingitmyway's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it's really hard to say since everyone recovers differently. At 5 weeks out I was cleared for all foods and with that my energy was starting to come back. I can only speak for myself, but at 5 weeks I felt fine. But disney does involve lots of walking and lots of yummy foods. If you are cleared for all foods by then I would say go enjoy your trip and enjoy tiny bits of all the yummy stuff but stop and sit for a little bit every now and then -
Am I being delusional?
Sophie74656 replied to gettingsleeved1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You definately need to do more research. This is not just "eating two bites and being full" -

The sleeve can be the first step in a DS but it is also highly successful as a stand-alone procedure. My starting weight was un the 400s and i had the sleeve less than a year ago. Down to 220 -

Can You Stretch Your Sleeve?
Sophie74656 replied to SleeveSoon's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
When done correctly your sleeve cannot stret h because that part of the stomach is removed. It may feel like some stretching because once all your swelling goes down you will ve able to eat a little more -
Question: How do you stop eating the foods that make you feel good?
Sophie74656 replied to JuliusJ's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still eat all the foods that make me feel good. My favorite food is sushi, i eat it whenever I want. I have ice cream when I want. I had a burger for dinner tonight. -
Yes it could hurt. Your stomach was cut and stapled. Don't you think that needs time to heal?
-
I honestly don't avoid anything

I found comfort sleeping at a 45degree angle in my recliner for a week

Feelings of should I?
Sophie74656 replied to betterme38's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
the surgery is major, life altering, permanent surgery. it is a big deal, something you shouldn't take lightly. Of course it's something you should think long and hard about, and cold feet are normal. You need to be honest with yourself about whether or not you really think you can stick to the diet for life. Odds are you are just having cold feet and you will be very happy after you heal from surgery. But you do need to seriously think about it -

Sophie74656 replied to Lizardlady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get those carnation instant Breakfast high Protein shakes. They have 15g of protein. Then I add 3/4 of a scoop of my premiere Protein powder and some frozen fruit, half a banana or a couple of frozen strawberries. -
Alcohol 2 days preop
Sophie74656 replied to Sandy GlueStick's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
is alcohol really that important that you would risk having a possible complication during surgery? -
these are the only ones I can tolerate. They are actually very good. Almost like a candy bar but with a good amount of Protein. You can get the variety pack in costco

Had no clue you had sleep apnea?
Sophie74656 replied to 100lbs2g0's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I found out shorty before my surgery when on a weekend trip with my husband and parents. My father was super freaked out because of the horrible noises I was making in my sleep. I had no idea of course. I was so mad at my (soon to be ex) husband for knowing about it and never saying anything about it -
Wish I was losing faster
Sophie74656 replied to jgeldmacher's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
how is eating a couple of wings post op crazy? The whole reason to get the sleeve is to have restriction and not to be able to eat a lot. You are doing fine. Any loss is good.
