    What is your "scale" strategy?

I weigh myself every morning, as soon as I wake up and go to the bathroom
  2. I'm actually kind of looking forward to the holidays so my family can see how much weight I will have lost by then. The food I'm not too worried about. My relationship with food has changed since my surgery journey so I think I will be able to control myself

    6 days

That's normal, it's surgery after all. But think about after the surgery once you start loosing weight and start feeling better. It will be worth it

    What Are Your Hobbies?

I crochet and make jewelry which I try to sell at craft shows.
  5. I was afraid that I was making a mistake, that even after surgery I would still eat too much and not loose weight
  6. I would definately wait until you're weight loss has reached your goal and remained steady
  7. honestly this type of surgery is routine and has been pretty much perfected. There's always a risk of complications but to say that you're risking death is an exaggeration (unless of course you're someone who has issues with general anesthesia)

    What will I need?

I brought deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush, and some soft comfy clothes to go home in

    Getting Sleeved 9/15! Need advice!

everyone's recovery is different. Personally I had very little pain. Getting up and sitting down hurt my incisions, but only for a few seconds. I did have to sleep at a 45 degree angle for a week because laying flat put too much pressure. Three days would have been enough for me but again, everyone's recovery is different best of luck to you!

My doctor said NO to surgery!

I have always been too scared to try medication because it would have to be long term. That's why I'm wondering if anyone here has ever tried medication? My assumption is that it might be somewhat successful but then anytime I am not on the medication I will just put on weight again. I tried a medication before deciding on surgery. It didn't do anything for me
  11. Honestly i haven't taken any pain meds. I've had some pain in my incisions but not really enough to need meds. Right now the worst for me is that my back really hurts
  12. There are a list of things I'm looking forward to having a conversation with any member of my family that doesn't revolve around my weight crossing my legs (I've NEVER been able to do that) fitting in a booth walking up to the second floor without being totally out of breath going on a hike going on a tropical vacation and feeling comfortable by the pool buying clothes in a regular store looking in the mirror and not hating what I see not being embarrassed to have my picture taken

    Sleeping habits

I think I'm sleeping a little better now, either that's from loosing enough weight that my apnea is getting better or simply because I'm so tired
  14. I think it's really interesting how different everyone's instructions are. You wold think there would be a fairly universal set of guidelines I wonder if the length of the stages has an impact on the weightloss
  15. wow, I'm on liquids for two weeks, soft for two weeks, then regular food in small portions

My doctor said NO to surgery!

    homemade popcicles

Anyone make their own? I just got some plastic sleeves to make my own and I need some recipes. I would realy love something that doesn't turn rock hard when it freezes

    When did you eat sushi?

oh my god I can't wait to have some sushi again,
  20. I'm only one week but so far this week I have been surprised by how thirsty I feel. Sip sip sip is not quenching my thirst. I want to gulp so bad how little pain I had in the hospital. I felt surprisingly good how much I miss my bed. I've had to sleep at a 45 degree angle so that means sleeping in the recliner in the living room how tired I feel but I know it will get better!

    homemade popcicles

adding some yogurt is a good idea
  22. honestly I've wondered this myself, especially since I'm still on liquids. I know eventually we will be able to eat more but
