Hit Goal - now how do I stop?

I do think completely differently about food than I used to. Before if you offered me something that tasted good or something that was huge I would go for the huge item. But now I go for quality over quantity and I appreciate what I eat so much more now. (not saying I still don't love some really crappy junk food LOL)
  4. the loose skin is a big concern for me. That's one of the reasons I would love to find someone who also has the sleeve. Plus, we would have the cheapest dates...just split an appetizer haha
  5. The sleeve was originally step one in a two step process where you would get sleeved then after a while get bypass. But after a while it was seen that weight loss with the sleeve was pretty much the same as with bypass so the sleeve was approved as a stand-alone surgery From my own experience with the sleeve...since being sleeved this past September I have lost 150 pounds

The concept of trying to NOT loose weight or worrying about loosing too much weight just don't register in my brain
  7. I'm about to get back into thw dating world too (after a 12 year relationship) I wouldn't talk about it right away but i think if it you were dating for a while and see a future witj the person then i woukd definately tell them
  8. I have no idea how to answer but I'm curious to see what others say. Personally even thoigh I've lost 150 lbs i still have the mentality of the fat girl who ws always trying to hide herself with baggy clothes, oversized hoodies and such.
  9. Jeez, Sophie! (mic drop ... BAM!) Haha that's how I basically convinced myself. I was worried about the lifetime commitment aspect of surgery too. The idea of never stuffing my face again really made me sad...still sometimes does. I miss my all you can eat spots. I miss eating a giant greasy burger, or a whole pizza (don't judge LOL) But I got to the point where my lifetime commitment to anything would probably be only another couple of years. So either way I needed to make a lifetime commitment to being healthier and loosing weight.

    Idiot alert...

Chewing gum post op is frowned upon by most surgeon's. At least as early as I am. Those that don't condone it forever, still require you to wait around 12+ weeks. It can cause blockages and require surgical removal depending on the situation. Can cause you to swallow more air than usual. And a few other things.. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App Most surgeon's what? This is the first i am EVER hearing about not having gum. Is swallowing gum really that common? I chew a lot of gum, never even stopped when i had my sleeve. Was chewing a few days post op

    What's wrong with gum?

    Sushi!

I have noticed that sashimi goes down very easily. I can actually eat about 2/3 of a full sashimi meal

    Sushi!

I have no issues with rice. I just don't like it. I figure since i have so little space in my tummy if im going out for sushi im filling what little space i have with the yummy fish not the bland rice
