What do I tell my son?

I think he might be a bit too young to fully understand. If he says anything about your weight loss, i would just say that you are on a new diet that is working well for you. That actually won't be a lie.
  2. Roas some whole eggplants until they ate very tender. Once they are cool enough to handle scoop thw flesh into a food processor. Add a bit of mayo, salt, garlic, and lemon juice and puree it Or Cut up some cauliflower into small pieces. Toss with some olive oil, salt, and garlic powder. When they are fork tender and brown around the edges puree them in a food processor. While it's still warm add a wedge Or two of laughing cow cheese Roas some whole eggplants until they ate very tender. Once they are cool enough to handle scoop thw flesh into a food processor. What should I be doing ?

When i made the decision to actually have surgery i started making little changes. Tried to drink more Water, tried to replace a few breakfasts a week with a Protein shake. Yes I binged here and there and occasionally indulged. I did not exercise before and I don't exercise now. I got my sleeve eight months ago and have lost 175 lbs just by changing my eating habbits Yes surgery is a lifetime commitment and you need to be prepared completely for that. Maybe see if there are any support groups near you and take your husband and go to a meeting or two. When i made the decision to actually have surgery i started making little changes. 4. I have always wondered that too. I have seen people posting here about their post op timetable and everyone is so different. I have seen people say they were on fluids for full month and I have seen people eating soft foods a few days post op. the important thing is to follow what YOUR doctor says

90 Day Stats & Bariatric Cook Book

looks like you already had a couple of sales, that's awesome! I have an etsy shop too and if you don't mind some free advice, I would tweak your title a bit. Add some keywords to the title, like cookbook, recipe, bariatric, etc. It helps people find your item in searches you might also think about listing a PDF instant download of your book best of luck to you
  6. my doctor is ok with it. I was only told not to have any for the first month. I drink diet soda and carbonated beverages whenever I want. Not a lot but it doesn't bother me at all I had my sleeve 8 month ago and have lost 175 lbs

    Pain

call your surgeon's office if you have any concerns. The pain in your side is most likely gas from surgery, it can take a while to go away as for the incision...is it red and warm to the touch? It is possible to get an infection at the incision site.

    how much can I lose?

I try not to look at statistics too much because they don't really mean much to the individual. If something says that people loose an AVERAGE of lets say 100 pounds, that means bunch of people lost a lot more and a bunch of people lost a lot less. so it's hard to judge based on that. your weight loss will depend entirely on YOU and the work you put into it

    Grazing

"grazing" on Fluid is the only way you will get it in. You can't just gulp all that Water down in one sitting "grazing" i more about mindlessly eating, not drinking

    how much can I lose?

first, talk to your surgeon second, yes it is possible. My sleeve was this past september, so 8 and a half months ago and I have lost 175 lbs
  12. everything about protein and water was basically hammered into my head pre op. I had to meet with the nutritionist several times, had to go to some group sessions, had a "quiz", got a huge packet of information, had to sign forms that I understood everything. I was quite happy about that in the end. Post op I was very well prepared
  13. it's not the best thing for you but it's far from "poison"
  14. my doctor is ok with it. I was only told not to have any for the first month. I drink diet soda and carbonated beverages whenever I want. Not a lot but it doesn't bother me at all
  15. I drink soda quite often. Not a lot at a time, half a glass that I will sip on. I generally shake it a bit first to get out some bubbles. But it doesn't bother me

    10 pounds in 9 days

whether you make it is up to you and how hard you work
  20. Sophie74656

    Is guacamole bad

well, that depends on where you are in your recovery, what your nutritionist tells you, and what your calorie goal is for the day. avocadoes are a little high in calories but generally very good for you. The fritos on the other hand.....

Why do people bash weight loss surgery?

My mom used to send me articles about pills and the latest fad diets and I kept telling her, don't you think if you could just take a pill and loose weight that there would be no more overweight people? And I'm pretty sure if there was a pill that actually worked it would be all over the news

Why do people bash weight loss surgery?

Two main factors, one, people who have never had to struggle with their weight, and two, they don't know anything about the surgery There is a very common belief that it is a magic wand, that you will have surgery and magically loose weight and never have to worry about your weight again, that it will be easy, that it's insulting to people who do it the "right" way by pure diet and exercise pisses me off

    Need advice pls....

you've done great so far. in my experience yes, 40 pounds in two months is doable. But that was me. I lost 150 lbs in 6 months
  24. you don't necessarily have to, but it helps cut back on calories and fat and such. There are some things I find that the light version tastes nearly just as good as the regular and there are some things that I will absolutely NOT substitute like sour cream or mayo. I would rather use a little less, but the real stuff.
