Hi,  I just made the decision on the surgeon I would like to see for the revision surgery.  I choose Dr. Altamirano for the positive reviews I have seen in many different forums supporting him.  From what i have seen he is very involved and personable, which helps alleviate some of my fears that the revision won't work.
 
I am married and have two beautiful daughters and a grandson, and I am tired of not feeling like I can keep up, or embarrassed because Momma is the fat one in the family.  I did everything right with my children, taught them to eat right and watch portions sizes, everything that I did wrong and made me fat.  I have been obese since I was 12 and this will be a struggle, I plan on seeing a counselor or dietitian before and after the surgery to help me address the issues that I feed with food.  Otherwise, I am afraid this surgery will be for naught.  
 
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and counsel people daily on weight and exercise, boy am I one to talk. I know so much about health, nutrition, metabolism and still can't apply it to myself.  I CRAVE food.  I am positive with the decrease in the production of ghrelin hormone and with the help on Contrave that works on cravings I will  be successful this time.  I want to live to see great grandchildren.
