How Often Do You Weigh Yourself?
UalreadyKnow replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Every morning!! It helps keep me accountable -
I'm also mentioning names, just a warning! So, I think it's either A) Glenn, because of his reaction when Maggie was being taunted, Neegan knows by killing him it will make her weak emotionally aside from her obvious physical state Darryl just because he is filming another show (Rides) and the filming times may have clashed. Nevertheless, I was a little disappointed with the finale. I was expecting the cliffhanger but was expecting a whole lot more action! I do think these new "Knights" that Carol and Morgan found, will help our beloved characters in the season to come!! BEST SHOW EVER!!!

Way to go!!![emoji7][emoji7] -
And I was so good!! Had dinner before leaving home, took my jug of water and enjoyed all the smells, people watching, and antique car show. Anytime spent with my family is a good time. So blessed!

Thank you!! -
I like quest bars too, but when I want something a little more indulgent and easy, I go for power crunch bars. Super yummy! A chocolate chip quest bar thrown in the microwave for 25 seconds and a dollop of cool whip on top[emoji104][emoji97] = divine!!!

The case of the missing hairs...
UalreadyKnow replied to UalreadyKnow's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, I do fill them in as I have very light hair and barely there eyebrows to begin with. I am looking into microblading. It looks promising but somewhat expensive. I am hoping things will get back to normal as time passes, but if at my 1 yr surgiversary my eyebrows are still missing... I will have some even if tattooing is my only option! I will mention my thyroid to her when I see her, thanks. And congrats on the new baby hairs!! -
VSG & autoimmune diseases?
UalreadyKnow replied to gingeryank's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well, I have Ménière's disease. I was diagnosed at 17, I'm now 37. It affects the middle ear and causes extreme bouts of vertigo. In fact, I was deemed disabled 9 years ago because of it. My WLS can alleviate the results of the falls due to sudden vertigo, as at 350lbs falling usually resulted in broken bones or fractures. Now, very recently, I was diagnosed with alopecia. My eyebrows went missing overnight!! These are both considered auto immune diseases. I've fought so hard to have this surgery to feel somewhat normal/accepted and yet the battle goes on, albeit a different battle but nevertheless a battle. Good luck!! -
NSV-- I rode bike with my kids today!!!! I RODE A BICYCLE!!!! Haven't done that in over 20 years(I'm 37) I felt so alive! So grateful, so good! My son (14) is ecstatic that "ma" can do fun stuff with him, and my daughter (9)feels like she can't keep up with me!!! The nice, unexpected "Miami cold front" made for perfect weather to try it. At a bone chilling 61 degrees, I was cruising along, breeze in my hair and a smile from ear to ear. I'm finally an active parent, thank you God, my ultimate goal has been checked off my list. No more watching from the sidelines. Mommy's kicking ass and taking names SW-348 CW-230

Weekend Protein...
UalreadyKnow replied to Lisa_85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've mixed it with an almond milk/coconut blend. It tastes good, depending on what flavor protein you like. I've been doing some unflavored protein in my 64oz jug of walmarts brand of crystal light. I buy cherry limeade and strawberry watermelon..... I'm totally hooked, that stuff is amazing! I'm even freezing it in Popsicle molds! I get bored easily so I have to change it up. But I must say I never tire of my protein coffee in the A.M. It's what I look forward to when I wake up. My routine is wake up, bathroom routine, weigh in, vitamins, water and start everyone's breakfast while brewing my coffee. I still sit at the table with my family and don't feel as if I'm missing out on anything. Some whip cream and powdered cinnamon are common on those mornings when I need an extra something!! -
So close to that 100lb victory
UalreadyKnow replied to sbg224's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm down 118lbs, although I just had a gain of 4lbs[emoji849] but the 100lb loss didn't feel as good as I expected maybe because I have another 60lbs to go. Grateful nonetheless. Just have a ways to go -
I had surgery Aug 27,2015 and have lost 110lbs since. But I haven't lost anything in what seems like forever but more like a month and a half. I'm wondering if I'm done or just at a stall. SW 348 CW 238. I do resistance bands training and air climber (500 steps) 3x a week. I drink close to 100oz of H2O, very low carb and about 800-1000 calories daily. I need advice/encouragement, I NEED to lose these 39lbs so I can get out of the 200's!!! On the flip side my hair loss is a lot better, but I've read that it gets better when you've reached ideal weight. Vets, please help me understand wth is going on!!!!

Today I grilled some chicken thighs because I feed 6 and some like the dark meat, and I skewed some chicken breasts (cut in chunks)with red onion, whole mushrooms and green and red peppers, all basted with a mango, peach salsa! Threw on some jimmy buffet, bob Marley and Zac Brown and had the grandest of times!!! Who would've thunk?

I hear ya!! I am doing a carb day about every 2 weeks per my NUT, not sure if it's the right thing to do but I do start losing a ton of weight the week after carb load day. I weigh myself daily and haven't noticed weight gain because of the carbs, so maybe she's on to something? Who the hell knows!!

Bbq'ing is not just for the boys!
UalreadyKnow replied to UalreadyKnow's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was told to not drink at all for the first year, I'm thinking it's more because of a potential transfer of vices. After the year, it's ok in moderation
