Extended-Mini Thigh Lift & Belt Lift 7/11/16
DaisyAmy replied to amazon's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Wow, so interested to hear more!!! Keep us posted! -
Personally, I was in pitch mode. Things I loved, things with tags, expensive things - it all went. They are of no use to me now. It was a great feeling and someone who needs them will have some great finds!

Did you sweat less after surgery?
DaisyAmy replied to Nikkinee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Haha!! It really does get better. You will be COLD!! -
I flew from California to halifax Canada almost in tears because every time I put my seat belt on I would push down on my fat just so I didn't have to ask for an extender. My husband was watching me and asked me if i wanted him to ask for one for me. I was so embarrassed and he probably was to. There was no more slack and I made it work some how. Undoing it felt like flinging a rubber band across my lap. Your legs look great by the way. And most of all congratulations on the seat belt slack. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App Thanks!!! it's so fun to not even give a thought to your size at things like this anymore - planes, booths, rides, etc etc etc! Just wait!

I know!! I literally have zero long pairs of pants. I'll have to get something to wear to work when the weather changes!!

Did you sweat less after surgery?
DaisyAmy replied to Nikkinee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, definitely much less sweating. Even went to Orlando in July and although I did break a sweat a couple of times, I wasn't nearly the swamp monster I had been pre-WLS. -
It's such an amazing feeling the first time you fly after! I never needed an extender, but would be anxious about it each time. The tray table, the extra slack on the belt, being able to bend over to get things out of your bag, it's all amazing. Seriously the best NSV feeling in the world!!

What do you see in the mirror after losing a substantial amount of weight?
DaisyAmy replied to Thecloude1's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Like others have said - it's the photos that blow me away. I love the Timehop app, although there are mostly only face selfies with my kid from years past. I'm still in process but about 100 pounds down. I just purged my closet of everything pre-sleeve (except one token outfit for remembrance). I -

Pain after the sleeve surgery
DaisyAmy replied to jillybean2219's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, it's very common. Never trust a fart . Liquid in, liquid out. You'll kind of miss these days when the constipation phase kicks in. It all resolves in time. -
Ok so how bad is this gonna hurt?
DaisyAmy replied to pixystix0116's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had a handful of other surgeries previous to my sleeve (spinal, gallbladder, a miserable hysterectomy recovery, etc), so I felt like the sleeve was a cinch. I only took 3 doses of the pain meds they prescribed (liquid nastiness!). Mostly, it was just incision pain that hurt for a minute when I got up from sitting the first day or two. Sitting and laying down was relatively pain free. I was driving and running small errands by day 3. -
4 months post op with skin infections
DaisyAmy replied to Gorgeous Girl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've been prescribed Nystatin powder and cream to use in the loose skin areas. It helps a lot. Depending on your insurance, you may want to keep note of these issues in your medical records for possible skin removal at some point. -

No, I definitely can get rashy there, but nothing to that extent. Hoping you heal quickly! I can't imagine how uncomfortable that is! -
Salad....ever again? If so when?
DaisyAmy replied to LACRACRA2's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Absolutely. Just had a salad tonight. Ate the grilled chicken, some feta, walnuts and dried cherries. Not much room leftover for lettuce and the waitress was concerned there was something wrong with my food, but that's pretty much how salad goes for me these days!! [emoji4] -
I don't know the details, but my friend had a bad itchy rash after her bypass. She survived, but I am not sure if she put anything on it or just waited it out.

Fitting on roller coasters at amusement parks?
DaisyAmy replied to provenzee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just came back from Disney and had zero issues - although most rides there are very Pooh friendly. We were at Six Flags at spring break and had no issues there, either. I am 5'6" and 215 now. I used to have such anxiety about it and would avoid certain rides. It was so nice to not even give my size a thought!! ETA: Have a blast!!!!! -
Fantastic! Congrats!
