  1. I'm sorry you are having doubts and your family isn't super supportive but just remember this is your life and you have to live it. No one knows your body better than you ok do it for you I almost went thru the program 2 years ago and backed out now I'm about 60 pounds heavier and in more pain so do this for you ok hon it's gonna be ok I'm here for you. Surgery is scary I've been thru about 6 of em but you'll do fine

Well typically you will need about 2 weeks off and have a lifting restrictions for a bit about 10 pounds just listen to your body if you have never been under anesthesia before ask for the patch behind your ear to ward off nausea also if you are nervous they can give you meds for that. Typically the iv will be placed in your hand because you move around a bit and they don't want to risk it coming out. Pm me if you have any questions about general surgery I've not had wls yet but I've had many surgery in my life and survived each one lol

I checked with my insurance then since I didn't need a referral I attended an online info session with my bariatric program then had to take quizzes lol then I scheduled an initial visit with my surgeon who I've had before for another issue and my program legit handles my 6 month visits in house I need a psych eval and a letter of support from my Pcp also need a my sleep study and a month of compliance on my new machine but that's it

I've been on cpap for 4 years now and I love love my machine and my mask make sure it's tight properly when I get a new mask I always tighten it standing up then lay down and finish adjusting it and I roll around in bed making sure there are no leaks I do everything I would do while asleep also I adjust my mask while my machine Is on to make sure it is a good seal maybe that can help some of you guys
