I'm not going to get down on you about the food but for me when my sleep is out of wack and I'm depressed I definitely crave more foods that I shouldn't have. But I would really suggest getting your sleep back on track

Wow I would be very upset too but some people who work in insurance get very animated when they have to do the same thing for a customer over and over it's not ok to get nasty but that does happen

I guess with my program I have care first blue shield and I've never had to pay more than 20 bucks to see a nutritionist like ever but I have diabetes so in Maryland I'm covered because they want you to get rid of the diabetes and now with my surgeons program I am only paying 10 to see the nut

My docs don't have calorie requirements but for my program it is 70-100 grams of Protein and 64oz of Water or things like Crystal light and less than 50 grams of net carbs a day no drinking during or 30 minutes after meals

Dental problems run in my family it's terrible. But regardless if I had bypass or not my teeth will probably be all gone by the time I'm in my 50s it does not bother me because I can start saving now for implants lol

I don't know anything about the lap band but just wanted to offer a kind word of support.

I think the first thing you should do is set up an appointment with your nutritionist get back to basics no drinking with meals Protein first veggies you can have fruit if you are craving something sweet but this is a forever thing you had a rough start but you can do this ok. I totally understand opioid addiction I struggled for 11 years so if you need anyone to talk to I'm here ok

In my program the consultation happens at the beginning it starts with a group class where everyone meets the surgeon they give you a binder with information about your particular insurance the guidelines for the program some basic nutrition information and things like that. Then you are weighed your height is taken along with bp then you meet one on one with the surgeon where you discuss medical history and things like that they ask you what surgery you are interested in and in my case my surgeon gave me my goal weight

I have care first and from seminar to surgery it will be approximately 8 months total. But I am ok with that because it gives me time to change what is going on between my ears along with how I interact with food at the same time

I'm on the 6 month track but I am very short like 5'3.5 and have diabetes and sleep apnea. So good on you for getting your health in order. I'm just trying to do this while I'm in my 20s so I don't spend my 30s as miserable as I spent the last 5 years
