  1. So as the title suggests I am mad at myself. Not looking for sympathy just more as a warning to those who are about to have the surgery or just had it.... I went back to all my old bad habits. I lost my mom less than a year afterwards and the depression set in. I'm gonna try and get help for where my brain is at. I've gained just about all my weight back. And I know I can get it off but it will take time. Any advice on where to start as far as the gym. Hugs

  2. So I will say depending on your surgeon. They may personally have requirements for you besides just the 6 months of weigh ins. Like pulmonary and cardiologist and an endocrinologist. Oh and some even request an up to date pap smear. So those 6 months do go by when you are completing your surgeons requirements. Also no insurance will pay for your surgery without a psychiatric evaluation

  3. Girl! ((hugs)) Throw it in the trash and pour dish soap over it. Every time he brings it in, tump it. Tell him, you are not gonna participate in his shenanigans--you can't afford to. And if he wants to sabotage his future, to do it on his own time...
You're so right hon. We talked and I told him I can't eat like crap anymore. So we're gonna finish what's in the freezer the ready made crap because well we ain't got money to just trash it. Then we're meeting the both of us with our nutritionist. I sure as hell ain't going back up to 311. Nope downward progress only. And I also have to be more accountable myself. I know there are days when we will just hit a drive through so salad with grilled chicken

  4. Hubby and I have learned that I can only eat 2-4 oz, so we fix one meal and share it and so my eating plan is benefiting him as well. We do the same when we eat out at restaurants, order one thing and share it.
Yeah we try to do that more often than not these days. We just have wildly differing tastes in food lol

  5. Hey y'all. So I'm 6 months post op and my husband is 3-5 months away from surgery. And I need advice from the veterans. Anyone go through this with your partner. We don't eat the best and like most overweight couples are each other's worst enablers. We don't like to say no to the other and sometimes it's just easier to grab fast-food. What advice do you have for us. I'd love to meal prep but our freezer is kinda small and almost always filled to capacity. I know we should probably anex the ready to eat things and spend a day cooking. But it does seem like tons of work so hellllllp

  6. So both me and the husband were close to 150 overweight when I started my process last year. My husband is 11 years older than me. Now my husband is slowly completing the process for surgery. We are each other's worst enablers. I'll even admit it. I need to get much better at setting limitations on the type of food that comes into the house. Also we need to get better about cooking for the week and doing meal prey then fast food. We've both been in a huge funk

  7. What is your Calcium plan? Not being nosy I just have had so much conflicting info about taking calcium or not post kidney stones. From surgeons and doctors and specialists and dietitians, I dont even know which advice to follow.
So my calcium plan personally is 1000mg of calcium 3 weeks of the month then take a week off. It has to only be the calcium citrate with d. Because any other formula causes kidney stones
