at my first nut meating i was told for the first 7 weeks after surgery i would be on 3 protein shakes a day on top of my regular meals to meet my 60-80 grams of protein requirements i had a list of like 10 protein supplements i can choose from all of which i can get on amazon so yay me but yeah its not uncommon at 3 months out to still be on shakes. i was told for the rest of eternity that my goal for protein after surgery would be 60-80 grams a day -

newmebithebypass replied to Sajijoma's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
my nut allowed us like 9 diffrent versions one was cyntrax its supposed to have the consitancy of gatorade and comes in lots of fruity flavors so you might want to ask your nut if you can have that if your over the vanilla chocolate strawberry gimmic i plan to get the fruit punch flavor after surgery because well who can say no to fruit punch -

newmebithebypass replied to barber44's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i have a 6 month wait before i even get a date per my insurance ive already cut out soda and juice i am starting to cut out bread. i dont eat pasta much any more. i still enjoy the occasional chocolate treat and a sip of the hubbys slushee from 7-11. but my surgeon requires a 2 week liquid diet to shrink the liver ill be doing the atkins shakes for that and probable premier protein after surgery or cyntrax because of the fruty flavors they have -

hpefully you will feel inspired by your nut and not discouraged she did and exercise were she had us go around the room and say the surgery were having and our biggest struggle of the month no judgment just understanding and compassion i really love my nutritionist. she rocks and she explains stuff in a non threating way like the amount of weight to lose how to stay away from bad carbs and how to make better trade offs shes just really down to earth -
