    Wow, what an experience. Something I thought I was totally prepared for and something that I could not have been more wrong about. I was sleeved on the 15th and it has been a long hard few days but finally today I have been able to tolerate a heap of free fluids (custards, yoghurts, Soups etc) Yesterday, I cried all day wondering what in the world I had done and was I ever going to be able to tolerate even a spoon full of food.

    Not good to hear but excellent that you are at least on the mend everyone is different I guess but it takes a lot longer than I would have thought to be " normal " again. I just got my bill from the anesthetist and I was under for 1 hour and 48 mins - I have not spoken to the surgeon yet but am wondering if something else happened too.

    It is so embarrassing but I have noticed a difference today at least - I will hate it if I cannot eat without this happening. A huge change though in a week and I am feeling glad to have done this. Last week I was soo unsure it was the right thing to do. Looking forward though now and I have a lot of weight to lose so I will just focus on the positives.

    Well a week and a half post surgery. I am feeling much better but I am dehydrated as I am only taking about 1000mls of Fluid and food in total (food is obviously still liquids at this stage anyway) All of my dressings are off and they are so much smaller than I was thinking - they will be barely visible in a few months. Now my major concern is burping - I am burping like a monster LOL every single spoonful

    ahhhh good post akpiedra- thank you I needed this. I have been lucky to take in 300ml today.Seems a bit backwards rather than forward today. But yes I am thinking to just keep on going and with time this will get better.

    Hi All I have 3 days till my op and I am supposed to be on 2 Opti products a day only and I broke it today. I ate a chicken breast. I was really hungry I was feeling sick now I just feel completely stupid and guilty. Do you think this will ruin my chances of the op going ahead ?

    Hi My surgery date is the 15/09. I am still extremely nervous and seem to be getting more so as the days close in. I am on Day 3 of the Pre Op diet and am wondering if I am going to make it LOL... I am not hungry just craving. I hope everything goes really well for you and would love to come check in on everyones progress as I am on my own. Good Luck
