Doing great on the liquid diet. I have no problems getting things down. Just the gas is not good. My belly is starting to get sore now also.

Its 5am and time to leave for my surgery. Not nervous at all, just cold  I lost 5 lbs just on the day before liquid diet!!! I could lose 15 lbs in 3 days of liquids!!! I know, not true. Good luck to all the others today PJ

I am doing great!!! I am SUPER excited too. I have had knee surgery, but I don't think that is comparable to this. My Dr will put me on full liquids when I come home. My wife has found some fantastic protein powder, so I am looking forward to some protein drinks. -

Elaine, I am from Tusc also. I am going to be banded on the 28th by Dr Bilton from right here in TTown. Have you checked on him? He did the RNY on the wife 12/19, she is doing great, but the weightloss seems slow. 22 lbs in 4 weeks

Hello Group - Newbie here!!! I am PJ from Tuscaloosa and I am going to be banded on Jan 28th by Dr. Bilton of University Surgical Associates here in Tuscaloosa. He has been doing the RNY for years but next month will make 1 year that he has been doing the bands. He is great, very personable and has a great office staff. I have been looking into this for 13 months now. I have UHC and was approved right away when applied for in May 07. But, my wife was planning on it also and has BCBC/AL and had to do the 7 month thing. I wanted to wait and do together. Well she had her RNY done 12/26/07 and I now have to wait cause of work problems. Looking foward to it.
