I can drink any alcohol but the sugary mixers make me feel like crap. Beer doesn't hurt like everyone scared me into thinking would happen. I don't have it often and sip it slow and only have one. I found out the hard way that my alcohol tolerance is way low. Just take it slow and you'll find out what works for YOU.

Heartburn After Hiatal Hernia Surgery!
Daniellewi replied to MeriGraham's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, mine was super bad for a few months after surgery. I had to make sure I ate something every 2 hours or it was super uncomfortable even with PPI meds twice per day. I'm 10 months out now and down to 1 PPI per day. I still get acid feeling in tummy now and then but it's not constant anymore. It has gotten much better. Good luck!! Endometrial ablation
Daniellewi replied to char3672's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had endometrial ablation one month prior to my sleeve. I am 10 months post gastric sleeve and still get my period-I wasn't one of the lucky people who don't ever get it again. But it's very light so I guess I can't complain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

What's your favorite water bottle?
Daniellewi replied to BarefootDrummer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I love my Hydro Flask. I cannot drink Water unless it's ice cold. I can even leave this thing in a 90 degree car for a few hours and come back to still having ice in my water. It also doesn't sweat and comes in fun colors. I am getting rid of all my other water bottles! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using the BariatricPal App -
anyone have bad GERD at the beginning, but it got better?
Daniellewi replied to silverwhitemoon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had terrible GERD after my sleeve with hernia repair. I was taking a double dose of PPI's for 4 months post op. My stomach burned so much it kept me up at night. Now I am 6 months post on and like magic I have NO problems anymore. I am down to 1 PPI per day now and I'm thinking soon I'll be off all together. It's almost like I had a over production of stomach acid after surgery and my body has finally figured out I don't need all of it anymore. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using the BariatricPal App -

Portable Protein Shake
Daniellewi replied to rebecca wills's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I bought these at costco trying to be cheap. I hate the flavor and should have just paid the extra $5.00 for the Premier Protein. Now I have 17 more of these to drink.. Icky! Lesson learned-stick with what you like. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using the BariatricPal App -

Can I ever have coffee again?
Daniellewi replied to lakegirlmn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I recently started drinking coffee again (sugar free creamer and truvia) It is the only cure for my constipation(I have tried everything else) I drink plenty of Water during the day so I'm not worried about it. Being constipated every day just isn't something I can live with forever. Sent from my SM-T800 using the BariatricPal App -
Does anyone own a Fitbit?
Daniellewi replied to haveyoumetalexx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine is. I have the paperwork and literature that came with it that states that it is waterproof. Like I stated above, I wore it in the pool everyday since Valentine's Day until about three weeks ago when my orthopod took me out of the pool until after my skin surgery. My daughters bought it on Amazon. Fitbit Charge HR--waterproof. I don't know if they only made a few of them or what, but I have one and love it! None of the fitbits are waterproof, they are Water resistant - see the link below. You ars likely doing yours damage which will eventually fry it https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1598 No. My fitbit clearing states on the box and in the literature that came with it that it is WATERPROOF. As I stated, I've worn it everyday since Feb. in the pool, showering, washing dishes--everywhere and it is still working marvelously. It was purchased on Amazon, but is no longer available. I love my waterproof fitbit. They do have waterproof ones on amazon still available I just looked. They are much more expensive but would be worth it if you're swimming a lot. Does anyone own a Fitbit?
Daniellewi replied to haveyoumetalexx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It has been my experience that Fitbits are not very accurate (they look nice though). I would find that if I was sitting down my fitbit would add steps to my step count, the calories burned were never accurate. If you want an accurate activity tracker then I would recommend anything by Polar. If you are not looking to spend much then I recommend the Polar FT4 or FT7 (price ranges between $40-$60 on Amazon). If you don't really have a limit to what you will spend I recommend the Polar A300. You do have to wear the heart rate strap but it provides a more accurate reading than Fitbit. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App That's strange.. I've never had steps added on my fitbit when sitting. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using the BariatricPal App -

Does anyone own a Fitbit?
Daniellewi replied to haveyoumetalexx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had mine a few months and LOVE it! I have had other fitness trackers and this one is the most accurate and easy to use. Like other people said, I only wish it were Water proof. I forget I have it on and have almost jumped in the water with it on a few times. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using the BariatricPal App -

I cannot stand any kind of canned meat. Canned chicken or tuna makes me want to get sick. It tastes like chemicals to me. Also I can't eat anything grilled on charcoal. Sent from my SM-T800 using the BariatricPal App -
