Hi Everyone, I am new at all this. I am going to the group meeting next week. I am hoping for the best. I called my insurance company today for the criteria, my BMI is under 40. Has anyone else used Dr. Glasgow? What was your experience? How long does the process usually take. I have HMO Blue, I have high blood pressure and insulin resistance so I hope I don't have any problems with the approval. I am tired of being the chubby girl:(( I have a really hard time losing weight, I never really had any interest in surgery. I did a lot of research on the net, I think lap band will be good for me.

Hello Everyone, I want to get the band but I am scared the weight will not come off because of PCOS. I had an appt. with the surgeon yesterday, he could not tell me if it would effect my weight loss or not. I am going to my primary dr today so we can talk about it. Sometimes I feel like it isn't worth trying so hard, I gained 6 lbs in the past few days, i am sure it is all Water. Sometimes I have pMS for longer than a week, I feel gross. Its nice to see some people have lost wieght with PCOS, I am scared to get let down at this point. I know how to eat, but the weight just sticks. I need a little cheering up, today is one of those days I could just eat junk. I won't do it, but if I did the outcome would just be the same 245 lbs not budging!!!:pray2: Tracie

Hi Sue I have my first appt. next monday. I am not sure what my BMI will be. I am under 40 today, if I have PMS next week I might just be over 40. I have gained and lost 10 LBs in the last week. How exact are they with the BMI, do they measure your height? I was suprised to get my first appointment so fast, will the others come quickly or do you have to weight awhile. How long does the insurance approval take with HMO Blue? Tracie:clap2: -
Hi Everyone, I am new here. I have just began thinking about lap band. I am going to the meeting next week. I have done alot of research and called my insurance company to get their criteria. My husband is very supportive, he just wants me to do my homework. My BMI is 38 but I have high blood pressure and PCOS (I don't know if they care about the pcos). It makes losing weight difficult. I could reallly use a little help. :)Thats why I am here:))
