I had VSG on 10/20 , and haven't lost any weight since Thanksgiving. What gives? I've only lost 21 lbs total.

I haven't been exercising or tracking - mystery solved I guess. How much are you exercising?

First, congrats on losing 80lbs so far! That's amazing and so inspirational to me (I'm 3 weeks out today). From what I've been reading in the forums, doubting yourself is just part of the process. Have faith in yourself, keep doing what you've been doing and know that you have many complete strangers from these forums sending you positive vibes daily! Remember to Reward yourself on the small victories . For a mantra how about "I am happy and healthy and closer to my goal every day" Peace and Love!

First, let me say this is very hard to type, but I am glad I have this forum to come and ask questions like this. I'm sorry if this is TMI (too much information), but that is a warning right there to stop reading if you are squeamish. I have severe diarrhea with the Pre-Op diet. I'm losing a ton of weight and staying hydrated as best I can but it is really taking a toll, I'm so tired of it. Did anyone else experience this with your liquid diet? I read in the Post-op diets a lot of people having this issue, but just wondered if anyone experiencing it just from the Protein shakes. I have tried lactose free, lactose pills, all vegan plant based protein, nothing is helping. Thanks for your help and advice

I'm 8 days out and allowed soft foods according to my NUT this includes eggs,re fried beans and lean meat (no beef). Today I tried the retried beans but not feeling the same level of restriction I felt during the earlier days. Is this normal? Should I feel like eating more when I'm done? How do you get started on those great habits of not drinking while eating and eating 6 meals a day. I need your advice experienced sleepers. Thanks so much!

I'm 2 days post op , and watching my family eat dinner; I'm not hungry at all. But I feel like I should be eating- it's the weirdest feeling not to be hungry!

Hi, I just had my surgery 10/20 and I can say that as far as my asthma goes, things were pretty easy. I needed oxygen while in the hospital but it was no big deal, they just hooked me up and kept checking my levels.

@@LMolina1987 Thanks LMolina1987! I can have broth, I just took some Immodium, (wondering why I didn't do that right away- duh). I am still calling the doc tomorrow to tell them what is going on and see if they have any other suggestions. Thanks for all your advice and help, super grateful to you all!

its day 2 for me on the 10 day liquid diet and I am full of energy. But the bad news is I want to eat just to have something to do. I'm realizing how much I use food to ease my anxiety. AnybodY else experience this? What did you do? Would love to here from anyone who has an opinion:)

I'm doing the liquid diet too! Just know you are not alone! I am right there with you suffering together! And as somebody said above, it will all be worth it!

@JellyBellyNoMore We can be buddies! Don't be too hard on yourself about the cookie dough. I doubt most of the people on here were perfect during their liquid phases! I myself have been fantasizing about an elaborate Chik-Fil-A cheat - LOL. In all seriousness, it is not the hunger at all, but rather the 'head hunger' I think everybody refers to, that is driving me mad. It's probably all that you are experiencing too, I bet. How are you on the energy? I have so much energy, My house is getting really clean - LOL.
