Two week ago I had a Loop DS / SADI and my very large hiatal hernia repaired. As of 2 days ago I started have constant heartburn and reflux. I have tried taking Tums and my Rx ppi without getting any relief. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a complication of the surgeries? I'm not sure what to do. Thank for your support!

Tonight we went out to celebrate my daughter. I never thought going to a restaurant would be so difficult. After just a few bites I felt totally sick! This is the first time since my surgery and I am on soft foods so I got a side of mashed potatoes. Did I do something wrong or is this how it's going to be for the rest of my life?

I am just over a week since my surgery, and my whey protein drinks are making my so sick too. Any suggestions? Anyone tried shakeology?

I am new here too. I am one week out from surgery. I am wondering at what point did your docs allow you to start exercising again? I have been walking my neighborhood several times a day, but not sure when and how much to increase.

I feel liberated! Having the drain removed was the sensation of a snake being pulled out of me but I immediately felt so much better. Kind of like as they removed the drain they also pulled out all the pain as well. I feel amazing now!

Tomorrow will be one week since my Loop DS with Dr. Cottom. The drain they left in is driving me crazy. How long did your doctors leave the drain in? They will be removing my staples tomorrow and I hope that they will also take my drain out. I am worried that it is going to hurt. Oh and how long did you wear your binder? I would love to hear others experiences. Thanks!
