    Triathlon training starts today!

I think i would count your triathlon as your long run.

    Triathlon training starts today!

I've got bricks built in to my workout plan starting in a couple weeks, I believe. My exercise physiologist put this plan with my numbers in mind, so I think it's a solid plan, tough, but solid. She doesn't expect me just to complete, she's expecting me to compete! I've also got a couple open water swims built into my workout. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Triathlon training starts today!

That is still yet to be determined. I already exercise alot, so my NUT put me on a 1800 calorie a day diet, which is actually pretty hard to do. She said we would monitor my weight once I upped my training and if I start loosing again, she would bump me up to 2,000 calories a day. I use MFP, goals are 150 Protein, 150 carbs, and 65 fat. 6. I'm 7 months post sleeve. At this point, I can get a glass of Water before my meal and drink some, but once my food comes, I set my glass to the side. This works well for me. From what my NUT told me, it's not harmful to drink during a meal, but it washes your food down and you won't have the fullness feeling. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Do certain comments bother you?

I'm with ya, I hear the you're too skinny or I am really concerned about you losing too much. Umm, if your name doesn't have MD, RD, or EP after it like my team I'm working with does, just say I look good or don't say anything at all! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  8. Also I know all surgeons are different. But I wasn't cleared to eat chicken when I was at your point. I started out on a pureed consistency foods like scrambled eggs, yogurt, refried Beans, then progressed to canned meats like tuna and chicken. And forget about trying to eat broccoli, focus on Protein and take your Vitamins. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  9. What Sophie said. Also, you don't have a pouch if you had the sleeve done. You have a sleeve. Keep drinking your Protein. Also what helped me when I was at your point, no kidding, I used a kiddie spoon, would take a bite, set my fork or spoon down and chew. It makes you slow down. Help needed from MFP expert

Something that my exercise physiologist told me about those "calories burned" is that they are terribly innacurate. I exercise alot and was conerned about the number of calories burned because they would frequently be at least half and sometimes up to a full day of what i consumed. So take them with a grain of salt.

    Compare Before and After…Your Kitchen!

probably my biggest kitchen change has been my small kitchen scale. i weigh everything just about.
  12. I had the same surgeon as bufflehead, so same rules. i also was around 800k when i was at your point. i am basically at maintenance at 1800 calories at 7 months. i work out alot as well and will be upping my training in a couple weeks for a triathlon. my nut said she would probably have to bump up to about 2,000 calories to hold my weight steady.
  13. Normally that is a sign that you over ate. At two weeks, your meal should be about a quarter of a cup, at least that was what my plan was.

    Scared of Pre-op diet

The first few days are pretty hard, but then it really does get easier. Just focus on getting past those first few days by keeping busy, then it's all downhill, especially when you see how fast weight drops on the preoperative diet. Good luck Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  15. Have you seen the couch to 5k app? It'd a great app, coaches you during your whole workout and takes you up to running a 5k Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

  17. Can't be outdone by Dub , here's my 6 month progress report. I was 276 at my heaviest that I know of anyways. Was having knee problems, back, sleep apnea, borderline hypertension, high cholesterol, and was headed down the diabetes road fast. Most of those are gone, no more sleep apnea or blood pressure issues, knee still has a little bit to go, but it is better. I've gone from a size 44 pants and 2XL shirt to a 34 in pants and large shirt. I've been training for a 5k, which I did this morning, 6 months after my sleeve surgery. Finished just under 30 minutes! So glad I've gone this route of gastric sleeve! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

  20. I'm in maintenance I guess. I skidded right past my goal of 175 and now down to 169 or so. My NUT increased my calories to 1800 a day, I'm 5'11", my macros on myfitnesspal are 158 grams of Protein, 158 for carbs, and 60 for fat. I'm exercising heavy, getting ready to train for a triathlon, so I doubt my calorie goal will stay at 1800 for very long. She mentioned increasing it to 2,000 if I continue to lose. Advice on eating

It really helps me to make an effort to put the fork down between each bite. At first I had to think about it, but now 6 months post op, it's second nature. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
