Sounds more like overeating to me. Your body would react pretty violently if it was actually stuck. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Ryan TN replied to PRINCESS2218's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Use it as a motivator. You'll show them next time you see them and they will have to eat their words.

Newbie: sleeved on June 20th! So much fear already!

I've given this advice many times on this forum. Take the batteries out of the scale and put the scale in the closet. Only weigh in at your dr appointments for the first couple months. If you follow your plan, you will succeed. Scales just get in the way. good luck to you. -
If you are having to chew, i dont think that qualifies as pureed, jmho. Greek yogurt, refried beans, scrambled eggs, that type of thing that doesnt require chewing really. Also, you didnt mention how far along you were?

Would you be willing to share your training schedule for the 13 weeks? I was really looking to begin some training in this area. I already run 10k pretty easily, bike ride is no problem, but the swimming I haven't really done. Good luck with your training and keep us posted on your progress! Hey, sorry, just realized I never sent this to you. Let me try that right now Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Wrapping up week 4 of 13, I never ever suspected I could be addicted to exercise like I am. I love it and how it makes me feel. Some of the great apps and techno gizmos really gives you great data on how your improving. I'm up to running 5 miles now, I found a group to ride with on Wednesdays, which is a lot of fun. I ran a 5k last weekend because it fit in my training plan, shaved 2 minutes off my previous 5k time. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

I've been doing yoga for the last few weeks. I am training heavily for a triathlon and the stretching from yoga is very helpful, especially the older you get! Like one of the above posters said, it's not a cardiovascular workout, so it won't help you lose weight like other activities, but it won't make you gain weight either. I feel so much better and relaxed after yoga. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Low BMI Gastric Sleeve story
Ryan TN replied to lady10000000000's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am just over 7 months post op sleeve. I was a fairly low bmi when i had surgery, 35.8 i think. My goal was 175, i am now at 166-7 or so, i think thats a 23.1 bmi. I exercise heavily, which i think was a large part of my success. i am currently training for a triathlon, exercise and lift weights 9 times a week. -
About 8 or 9 days passed and still nothing, it was getting uncomfortable, so I called the nurse. She said ohh, the paperwork you were sent home with said to take milk of magnesia after 4 days if no bm. It works wonders, just don't go to far away from the bathroom! What babbs said about the fat ones is true. The biggest guy in my department, no kidding like 400 pounds was the one who tried to talk me out of surgery. It must be some way of coping, in some way they want you to stay fat to make themselves feel better, I'm guessing? Idk, but I finally told him, look if you don't have words of encouragement to say, just don't any anything at all. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

My surgery center said it was based on your bmi on your initial visit. Check with yours to see though. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
