Any one around 26 years old? ?

I'm 28 / about to turn 29 and had my sleeve 11/10. I'm 5'10 and lost about 20lbs since surgery....97lbs all together from my HW 340lbs. The first few weeks are def not the easiest but it does get better. I have some loose skin but nothing horrendous. Once I'm fully healed I'll add in more strength training to tone it up. good luck!!!!!

    Happily Not Looking Back

Welcome and congrats on making the leap! I used to do 911 and dispatch in my early 20's and it definitely comes with its stress. I still remember in vivid detail most of my graphic calls. Kudos for all you do!!!!! Good luck with everything!!!!

    Preop bowel prep?

I had to do clear liquids the day before.....take 2 dulcolax then drink a whole bottle of mirolax in 64oz of Gatorade over 3 hours.....followed by 2 more dulcolax. Surgeons preference I think.....it felt like torture to me!
  11. I crushed the first couple of weeks. Now I just break them in half so they're smaller and swallow-able.

    November Sleevers

I was sleeved 11/10 and today's my 2 week post of date! Starting puréed foods on Thursday. Once the initial pain subsided from the incision I've had no real other complaints. I'm 5'10.... HW 340lbs 2 week preop starting weight 266lbs SW 259lbs CW 248.4lbs It feels amazing to be under 250lbs. I enjoy somewhat active things and remember certain snorkeling excursions, Water slides, horseback riding, zip lining....having 250lb weight limits. I've never been able to go horseback riding for that reason ((fear of hurting the horse! lol)) My 100lbs loss reward is going to be a trail ride.
  14. I work with mostly men....so if asked..."girlie stuff". Easy way to drop that subject. Good luck everyone!
  15. I start puréeds next week too....I never thought I'd be looking so forward to throwing a pickle in a blender w some tuna fish!

12 Hours Until My Surgery Check-In!

My surgeon was specific on wanting us on Opurity and Unjury. The calcium citrate actually taste like sweet tarts and are good. The sleeve optimized multivitamin tho....Ehh. Tolerable but not the highlight of my day.

    Post Op Pain

Yea it's def my largest incision. They sent me home with a Tylenol/hydrocodone pill I've been crushing. I'm trying to only take it before bed and use liquid Tylenol as needed during the day. Trying to just power through the pain and remind myself it'll be better soon. in the hospital they were giving me morphine every 4 hours but that wasn't helping much pain wise, it just made me nauseous. As soon as I stopped that I've felt great (other than the incision pain).

    Post Op Pain

I had my VSG Tuesday 11/10 and came home last night. My pain tolerance I thought was fairly high but I'm having sharp, burning, stabbing pain on my left side at the incision area. It feels like I'm being stabbed and the knife is being twisted into me. It's worse after moving or getting up or down. I'm taking my pain meds as directed, and hugging ice but it's almost unbearable. Doctor agrees it's normal and will get better but I'm a bit impatient..... Any advice or tips on relieving this? Or can anyone share how long his lasted? Thanks!!!!!

Liquids and protein 3 days post op

I'm having the same issue! Mine was 11/10. Today was a little easier than yesterday and I'm sure it will keep getting easier and easier. But I'm nowhere near the 64 oz total I should be getting in. I'm making sure to sip water throughout the day and get all my vitamins in. Everythings still a bit painful and swollen for me, so should get easier as the swelling goes down. Hang in there.
