  1. I vote for Isopure as well. My supermarket carries two flavors, Frosty Grape and Mountain Berry (or something like that can't remember). I use these later in the day for more protein. I just need the variety. Sorry I forgot to mention it before. I'm five weeks out and still can't actually eat enough protein so I use the drinks to make sure I get enough each day.
  2. That must be just miserable! I hope it gets resolved soon. Good luck with it.
  3. Where on earth did you find such a huge log? I may never get over this. Probiotics are really helping, but I still resort to MOM on occasion. Today it's just gas. I'm farting huge loud as I walk around the house and I think it is starting to embarrass my dog. Poor Roger.
  4. Oh Winklie you have done it again! The log in the toilet got me before I even read your message. I'm having the battle of the ass myself, but so far no logs. LMAO. you are way funny. And I'm writing this on my iPad while sitting on the toilet! I can't stop laughing!

    Picky Pouch

My pouch is picky too. I've been thinking I should name my pouch some really prissy name. Haven't thought of a good name yet.
  6. I haven't had a problem with Premier Protein that way. In fact on days when I can barely stand to eat or drink I count on it to get protein and some fluid.
  7. Premier Protein is at Walgreens and HEB in Austin. HEB is a Texas chain of supermarkets. I have ordered directly from Premier Protein and it is really nice having it delivered to your door. There are a bunch of websites that sell it online. I don't know how I would have made it through preop diet or first few weeks post op without it. I still have it once a day for breakfast. I've never been a breakfast eater and my Nut is thrilled that I have premier protein first thing every morning.
  8. You guys have just given me so much hope. Whew.

    October List of Surgery's

weight loss is moving along at about four pounds a week. I've been having better luck with getting my protein by mixing sugar free pudding mixes with flavorless protein powder. Also tolerating eggs really well. I'm really weird. I don't like soup. I can eat it maybe once a week if I force myself to. I'm just adding protein powder to everything that isn't already protein and it is working. I think my nausea has calmed way down.

    October List of Surgery's

I'm gradually getting my water back up. That is making me feel better. Still having a problem with food. I do okay with cottage cheese which is good because I love it. Having a rough time with other protein I try. But I'll keep pushing along. Tomorrow I'm going to push myself to have soup with protein powder added in. I don't think I'll be having the best day. My neighbors had a party and kept me up. Oh well. Tis the season for lots of parties. Hope you are having better luck with food by now.

    5 months post op

I had an appetite the first two weeks after surgery, now none. I get a little hungry late in the day so I have been having soft protein. I'm just now at four weeks and I'm so happy JamesMaurek has posted his stuff because he is accurate with his information, always, and I remember reading some of his recipes before surgery and thinking they sounded like things I would like post op. At five months out these should work fine for you. James, I'm copying all of your recipes this time.
  14. Sorry I can't help with that pain issue. Haven't had any experience with that. But as people check in on this site this evening, you should hear something. Hang in there.

    October List of Surgery's

. I'm ok. I have nausea off and on. I couldn't handle plain water for the longest time so I used Sweet Leaf water drops. I'm having a hard time dealing with eating, nothing appeals to me most of the time. I understand that is a common problem at this point. I actually can feel in my pouch. Like I can tell when something goes in and I can tell when I'm full.
  17. Have you talked to any attorneys yet? Seems like one would love to sue this guy. The surgeon has made an attorney's job so easy. What a jerk. And then to tell you correcting it would be dangerous. Dude.
  18. OMG. This quack should be put out of business. You have been so strong to get this far through this and I wish you all the best in having it resolved. That guy is just nuts. Can you even believe he has the nerve to still be doing this surgery? I'm fuming for you in Texas.

What to do with old clothes?

Hope so. Do you have a consignment shop you could take some of your things to? You would probably get a lot more money from a consignment shop. I never got much money selling clothes in a garage sale.

    Sad but cute

Aw, how sweet. Hope all goes well for you there. Have they scanned or X-rayed you yet?

    Body aches?

Sounds like you need to call your surgeon and get some blood work done. I have chronic pain issues and dehydration will make all of them worse, but I would be getting some tests done if I was having your kind of pain. Good luck.
  22. Just make sure you have the fake ass in the right place. At my brother's wedding there was a woman with a fake ass that was sort of pushed to ome side and sagging way down. I'm not sure I've seen anything weirder/funnier! Padded ass jeans. Grat idea!

    The Foamies...

I get it from eating too fast or too much. There was a period of a few weeks post op where I couldn't really tell when I had eaten enough and would only figure it out when this happened. I'm almost four weeks out now and I can finally tell when my pouch is full.
  24. I got bronchitis (diagnosed by pcp) 5 days post op. What worked for me was liquid Tylenol, liquid mucus relief cough syrup and liquid Benadryl. I didn't feel like I could count on pills helping me. This is the combo the doctor suggested for my set of symptoms. You may not have the same symptoms so you won't need all of this. Liquid Tylenol worked wonders for me.
