6 week pic and quick update
Dar200 replied to ShareeB's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congratulations. I'm happy for you that there have been no problems with food. -
To Cervidae - thanks for the link to the YouTube series. I'm about halfway through. Good information!

I'm so sorry for your loss. And that young, I can't imagine. I really identify with your thoughts about being able to lose weight on my own. As I read your story, I just stopped and thought "that's me"! And I too have lost faith in myself. Wow. Thanks so much for sharing your story. It really touched me and has made me stronger in my resolve to face this and start my new life. Thank you.

I have a simple response that I have used. "I didn't ask for your opinion". I was so fed up with a certain person's comments and then one day I just blurted that out. Kinda surprised myself! Anyone can tell her remark was incredibly inappropriate.

Sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

I have no words of wisdom or suggestions for you, but I do feel empathy for you. Know you have some friends here you can turn to during this difficult time. Hugs to you.

VSG revision to Gastric Bypass
Dar200 replied to staceymaelofton's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Mama 11 - I'm also morbidly obese I haven't had my surgery yet. I just want to say, find a doctor who will do the surgery. If the next one doesn't want to, go to another. You deserve to live your life without the pain of arthritis and without struggling to breath. -
I am So Excited! :)

Nervous about Sleeve to RNY revision
Dar200 replied to SleeveandRNYchica's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Possible complications really worry me too. That is what bothers me the most. Maybe someone can shed some light on how they handle that. It sounds like you had good results for a start with the sleeve. -
Nervous about Sleeve to RNY revision
Dar200 replied to SleeveandRNYchica's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I haven't been through my first gastric surgery, but I just wanted to pass along something my good friend told me yesterday. She said it would be really weird if I wasn't nervous about the surgery. what does your doctor say? Does he think there is cause for concern going from the sleeve? -
Yay! That is great news about the insulin.

You go girl!

I'm not sure how to put this so I will just directly quote my bariatric surgeon. He said, "there are 3 ways that you might have problems with the surgery - (1) smoking, (2) smoking, and (3) smoking."
-
Thank you for the welcome. I bought that book last week and have been studying it. It has helped me to hear other stories too.

Oops. You said impatient. Sorry. I hope the time flies by!

I like to tell myself that these delays will all work out for the better, probably in a way I will never know. Sometimes it works, other times I just can't help myself. ????. I would be anxious too. I'm already anxious and I don't have surgery until end of October.
