Getting it taken out, and hopefully revised at the same time. I am so tired of choking and acid reflux. I basically have to stand up to eat too.

Hi, I am a newbie on the boards, and I had lapband surgery in 4/08, and I am having issues with the band. I lost about 70 pounds on the band, but the choking at night and acid reflux has caused me to want to take it out. I can not lose weight right because either it is too tight or too lose. I am tired fo this, I need rest. I will have the band removed, but was thinking of getting the gastric sleeve done while they are in there. Anyone else converted from the lap band to the sleeve?

I believe abortion is wrong, but I can't talk as much as some of you, so I am going to state that and take care of my business. Anything else is between that person and God.

If you are tall 200 pounds may not look bad, but still not a healthy weight. If you are short, it is still not a healthy weight. So do what you need to do.

I said catch me during the wrong time of the month, does not have to be my period, unh huh, gotcha. I am a community leader, and I do a lot of dealings within my community, so the time of the month could mean anytime I am exhausted and worn out. We do a lot as mothers and women, you can not deny that. Emotional does not mean we are not in control, for me it means that I have a heart and I do care. I am moved by the things that I see or hear, but not so emotional that I am not in control of them. However, I can see your point.

I believe that if Sarah Palin had been a man it would have been different. If this had been a man he would not have been condemned for an interview. Not trying to toot my own horn, but I think I am an excellent speaker, but catch me during the wrong time of the month or if I am sick, and you would think I could not speak at all. Hi, I am here in Atlanta Georgia, my Lap-band was just approved today by humana tricare south, we are prime. You need at least 2 co-mordbitites and 100lbs over, mine were HBP and Joint Pain. I am approved. I weigh 260, and I am 5' 9", do not give up. If you are 200% overweight, you need no co-morbs. My referral was put in Thursday approved Monday. I barely made it at 260 to be approved, 249 was my Metropolitan Life chart number. Anymore questions just reply.

Breastfeeding is natural, and I have seen breasts exposed in public, and no breastfeeding. Some fashions today are made to show it all anyway, so why should I jump down a mother's throat for doing what she needs to do. I would say use wisdom when you breastfeed, but don't go all out of the way if you baby is hungry.

I have not read all the comments, but I do think that we should be able to talk about other WLS, because it can help someone make a critical decision.

I had my children natural, although it was painful, I perferred it over C-section. C-section sounds scarier to me.

I started public speaking, and doing speeches at a young age, and I will be 40 in a year, and I am still nervous when I first stand up before people. After a minute or so, I get control over the nervousness. She is young, she will grasp it eventually.

I think my beliefs are more important than a competition. If she chose to do that, then kudos to her for standing up for what she believes in. Winning is not everything.

How many times have you spoken before an audience? Speaking before people takes a lot of practice, it is not something you acquire overnight or from just one class. Nervousness is the number one killer of speeches, you have to learn to control it, and when you do, you will do pretty good.

I think she did okay, she seemed to be very fustrated with all that had transpired. She needs rest, she was tired.

No, not really...I lost the baby this morning...it's my first time miscarrying. I'm on bedrest for the rest of the day and night, but they made my husband go to work when I got back from the ER...It's been a rough morning. Hi, okay, my daughter's school sent letters out to the parents to see if it was okay for our 5th graders to watch the puberty video. I had heard from other parents last year that the video was too explicit for 5th graders. I think the school did right, because if my daughter is going to be taught about puberty, I would rather do it. I can tell her and explain it to her a little better than a video. I think it is up to the parents to decide what their children are ready for. Wanted to add that every child is an individual, and what works for one, does not always work for the other.

I don't know what to think of this case anymore.

I have not read all of the comments, but I like Obama, but I do question some of the methods.
