Jesusislove replied to Jesusislove's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I know what you mean by the "visitor", same thing here. That is one reason I stay off. -

I am losing inches and weight, which is great! However, I am still wearing my bigger size clothes (I fix them up where the look good), because I do not want to buy clothes yet. I want to wait until my weight loss tampers off a bit. I will buy new clothes once I slow down a bit. Just wondering how long many of you waited to buy clothes? I am thinking 3-4 months out.

Thank you for your response. That sounds like a good idea. After 3 months I will try that. -

Thanks for all responses and suggestions. I will definitely wait until around 3 months, before I buy new clothes. Then I will buy a little at a time, probably will need more tops than bottoms. I am down to a Large in shirts. -

Thanks for your response. If I was still in Atlanta, yes you could find sales similiar to that. In South Carolina, no sales like that here. Goodwill does have a military discount day. However, I hunt down the cheaper stores. Thrift hunter. -

Thank you for your response, yes, it feels good to go to the thrift and buy things for yourself. I love vintage clothes. My mom taught me how to shop at thrift stores, been doing it since I was a teenager. I love Macy's clearance racks, truly you can get some good deals off the clearance racks at department stores. -

Thank you for your response. I am thinking 3 months. I am very cheap when it comes to buying clothes, I am an ebay seller, and I am a thrift queen. I love to dress for less. I will wait until things start to fall off like you did. Wearing a good belt keeps my jeans up, they are baggy though. I am adjusting. -
I had a stall for two weeks, upped my calories, and the wieght is comig off fast. Of course lots of protein as possible.

Hi, on the 27th I will be two months post op. I had a stall for about 2 weeks. I upped my caloric intake and the weight started to come off again. I got on the scale today, 190, I am impressed. I love my sleeve, and to God be the glory. -
Going On Two Months Post Op, Wow!
Jesusislove replied to Jesusislove's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I am able to eat some things, I have to be careful with chicken. I drink Vitamin water dragon fruit, and regular water. Other than that the sleeve is doing its job. Congrats on your loss! -
Going On Two Months Post Op, Wow!
Jesusislove replied to Jesusislove's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Started at 230 preop. diet, 220-225 prior to surgery, I was fluctuating. I am saying wow, because the smaller you are the slower you use, but I am amazed at the inch loss and weight loss. I revised from the lap-band to the sleeve. -
Eating More Calories
Jesusislove replied to desertmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, upping my calories worked for me. Everybody is different. -
Yes, I am six weeks post op, and my size 11s are flopping off my feet, 10 are fitting okay. I wear a 10.5, but I buy 11, probably will not be able to wear any (11) in the near future.

Silk Fruit & Protein

The drink is good, it was one thing I could drink post op. So at least I had something to get my fluids in. I don't drink it anymore, but it is delicious. -

6 Weeks Post Op, Stall, Inches Lost, Onderland
Jesusislove posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, everyone. I have been stuck on 205 for about two weeks. I wasnt worried, because I read about stalls. My inches are dramatic though, I look smaller than the weight. I got on the scale this morning, 198, I am in onderland. I tried the gym last week and was sore than sore itself. This week I will try agin, proabably not basketball or racquet ball with the kids though. I am fitting 12s, was in sizes 14w/16 depending on how they were made. One thing I noticed was that once I was able to eat more the weight started to come off, I eat about 800-900 calories. I am feeling great. I will try to add a picture. -
Hi, everyone. Okay I understand that I will be on full liquids once I leave the hospital. However on my full liquids list it says tuna and turkey blended and thinned with broth and hot cereal thinned with milk. My doctor & NUTconsiders this full liquid, has anyone else done this? Is this a full liquid? Hmmmm, I don't know.

Considering Vsg Surgery - Wondering How Common Revisions Are Down The Road?
Jesusislove replied to MyGastricSleeveLife's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
First time i heard about a re-staple, but I thought the same thing about the complications. I am doing fine, had my surgery on 2-27. I started at 230 before preop and post op. down to 198 in 6 weeks. You will be fine, and you will not be hungry, you will want to eat more at times. I just tell myself i can eat later. -
Considering Vsg Surgery - Wondering How Common Revisions Are Down The Road?
Jesusislove replied to MyGastricSleeveLife's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I went from lapband to sleeve, doing well. I like the sleeve better, I feel full and satisfied. Onderland today. I had the removal and revision at the same time at a military hospital. They did a great job. -
I am eating healthier and I only desire good carbs and high protein foods. This is a great improvement for me, because protein was not my thing prior to surgery. Also, I had family visit yesterday, and they questioned me about my age, they wanted to be sure, I said 42. They said you look really good, I looking even younger since surgery. Loving my sleeve, can eat but just enough, feels good.

Hi, that sound so good, normally any type of fish wood make me gag. I am enjoying fish now.
