    how fast?

Oh yes, I've already had experiences with stalls. 3-6 weeks post op I didn't lose an ounce. I didn't gain any either, but it was very frustrating. I have a few very good friends who have had rny so their experiences are slightly different, but they're still really good to talk to. One if them is 6 years out and has maintained 130 pounds off. My surgeon's expectations are pretty realistic, she would like for me to lose another 40 pounds. I feel pretty confident I'll be able to do that, I just wondered if any one had health consequences for losing so fast.

    how fast?

Hello fellow sleevers! I'm just curious how fast everyone else saw weight loss. I feel like I am losing so much so fast (not complaining!), but is there such a thing as too much too fast? I was sleeved on 9/4/15 & start weight was 270. As of this morning, I'm sitting at 202 & it's only been roughly 12 weeks. I do make sure I'm hitting my protein goals EVERY DAY & I feel good, but it's just a whole new world of worry with weight loss lol. I'd love to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience.
  3. I was getting over just a normal cold right before my surgery. Let me tell you, it is not fun to cough with all those stitches. I never ripped any of them, but it was definitely painful. However, that being said I wouldn't put off my surgery if I had to do it all over again.

    September Sleevers

Sleeved 9/4/15 & I too struggle with water and finding variety. I did buy unflavored unjury powder and that has been a great help. I live in North Dakota so our weather here is turning cold and I find myself really craving old comfort foods. I've lost 60 pounds and almost 50 inches so far, so I'm not about to give that up but eating the same ol' is really getting to me. Just keep up the good work guys, we'll be ready for "normal" foods again in no time.

    chocolate cake craving

    Stevia is what I used
  7. Prior to surgery, during that time of the month I was a chocolate eating machine. After surgery, the only chocolate I've had has been a few glasses of chocolate milk here & there. We'll this week is my week, and the chocolate monster has been in my ear. So I took to pinterest to see what I could find. I found this recipe: http://ditchthewheat.com/1-minute-flourless-chocolate-cupcake-lc-gf/ It's super easy & actually pretty tasty. I topped mine with a tablespoon of slivered almonds after it was done. I won't be making this a staple of my diet, but at least I know I have this for the next time the chocolate monster comes around.
  8. I was told 3 small meals & 3 Snacks as well, they gave me an estimated "schedule" that goes as follows: 8am Breakfast 10am snack 12pm lunch 3pm snack 6pm supper 8pm snack At this time I cannot bring myself to drink another shake, however I ordered unflavored unjury powder so I'm waiting for that to arrive. I was never told no more than 4oz at a time, would've been good to know lol. Not that I'm getting that down anyway. The surgeon also said I could progress to soft foods before being discharged. So at least I've been getting an average of 40 grams of Protein in each day. I will try to sit down & set aside time each hour to drink, I like that idea. Makes it seem a little more manageable.
  9. I'm hoping someone can shed a little light for me here. My surgeon that performed my sleeve was not the surgeon that discharged me, but rather a partner surgeon within the same facility. He stressed that I need to be getting 64 Oz of water in each day. I'm getting frustrated because I'm only able to get about 20 Oz in on a good day. Since I'm supposed to wait 30 minutes after drinking to eat, and 60 minutes after eating to drink, but I'm only supposed to sip water....how do I fit this all in a day? I will have my 2 week post op in 2 weeks, but that's a week behind because the surgeon is so booked. I just really really don't want to get dehydrated. I've had that problem while I was pregnant and couldn't even keep water down.
  10. My surgery took just under 3 hours. This was with my surgeon having to work around my large & oddly placed liver & having an allergic reaction to one of the meds I was given during surgery.
