Able to eat almost anything

Check out GEnePro, I believe it has 30 grams of protein, tasteless, and add it to the mashed potatoes. I add it to V8 and no taste whatsoever. -

Paul, for 30 years my husband had labeled bins of 1x, 2x, and 3x clothes, as he went on extreme diets like a year of Optifast shakes. He has lost 100 lbs, he wears a Large shirt, and all those Big clothes, well he finally knew he could give them up. -

My husband and I were sleeved in November and December, which made it great to dress bulky and relax. Our Christmas dinner was wonderful, a mild chili, a few sips at a time. Then you can look forward to spring, with a new spring in your step, and new clothes! It habeengreat, no problems. Good luck! -
Able to eat almost anything

Seriously do not take offense, but concern for you doing that is mind boggling. I choked on a soft piece of chicken six weeks after surgery, and I could not breathe. I ran through my house like a crazy person, so panicked. Three years later I still am cautious and make sure I chew chicken and beef very well. -

Honestly I am wondering why you had surgery if you would put chicken in your mouth within five days. Do you know the danger of that? What else did you try? -

Steroids are a NIGHTMARE

I love my husband's gentleness and his AK47.

One thing to remember is that most everyone here has been on pre op liquids. It is easier for some, harder for others. But we do understand and it is worth it.

Relax. It was like waiting for the Super Bowl with your favorite team and you watched flag football with 8 year olds! OMGosh it was scary but so easy looking back.

My husband and I both did. It is very common. My husband also had surgery for a hiatal hernia after surgery.

Sleeve scheduled for 10/19- would you do it again?

It is never too late. Do not wait til you are 67 like us to take control of your life. It has been amazing. Your health MATTERS! Good luck! -
I liked FF refried beans with a little mild taco sauce. Funny how I always loved Cream of Wheat and could not wait to have it, then I didn't want it.

Please follow your surgeons plans. Do not rush it. There is a reason for the pre-op and post op diets, and if you look at the number of members here, you will understand that MOST of us have been where you are. We survived. There truly some experts here (not me for sure). But three years out I am still getting help from the experts. I choked on a tiny soft piece of crockpot chicken four weeks out (n my plan), and it scared the hell out of me. I paid attention, lol!

My 69 y/o husband is the most romantic love of my life. I wake every morning to the roaring sounds of Good Morning Beautiful, as I am looking like hell! After 25 years, he still opens the door for me, he has Stevia in my cup when I pour my coffee. I cold bore you with more, but I wish I was as smart when I was young as I was when I met him at age 47. Treasure each other.

Sleeve scheduled for 10/19- would you do it again?

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've read a lot trying to make a decision on this and it seems some people have a rough start but that things do get better. I certainly hope this is the case for you as well and soon!!! Xoxo Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Jaylee, my husband and I never had pain, nausea, or any negative problems after the sleeve. I felt like did pre-surgery, no problem. I spent 8 hours outpatient, and 1 painpill at home. I feel bad for the people who have had problems, but the are so many who did great. Fear was worse than the surgery! So happy we did it! -

It is time to work on saving you from disability and severe health problems. My husband has lost 100 lbs, and we were at a point I knew I was not going to have him long if we did not jump off the cliff and get the sleeve. It was scary, and now it is funny because neither of us even felt like we had surgery. No more WL seminars like we did for so many years, and backed away! Good luck!!!!! BTW if you think you will have a job problem most of us had hernias. Your job does not need to know your business. -
