both me and my hubby have bipolar as well as long as were both on our medications and see our docs regularly were fine if either one of us goes off the meds its a mess

im sorry your going through this i know its hard but as long as you can salvage the friendship i think you will be better in the long run it hurts right now but it will get better.

as far as the price thing i dont know if most people know this but if you have a fsa card you can buy protien shakes with them

i work in psychiatry and in my office the innitial evaluation is done by our therapist this usually throws people off because they are used to getting diagnosed by a psyciatrist but thats how we do things. op i think you will find with most surgeons they pass off after care to nps or pas because they are good at cutting not follow up jjust my 2 cents

i know the first week of the nut plan i lost 6 pounds i gained it all back eating like crap in two weeks so im gonna go hard core and drop as much weight as i can before my first weigh in

im on wmy 6 month wait and i kinda let my self have a few food funerals while on vacation now that i am back its back on the band wagon and back to the nuts plan no more smoothies or hamburgers or french fries which i will miss but i know this is life or death so i will just have to put on my big girl pants and deal

the best result you can recieve is the diagnosis because having one comoribity will help your case tremendously

i know for my insurance i was required to be insured under my insurance for a year along with my diet plan for 6 months and have the bmi requirement

thats so weird i saw the surgeon first then the paitent cordinator then the nut now i have all the battery of tests and my 6 nut classes then i am done is that unusual to meet the surgeon first just wondering

my new psychiatrist used to do evals for bariatric paitents when she had her other practice and she said it was a wait and see with meds like that im not a fybro paitent but i take lots of psych meds for other issues my best guess would be to talk to the psych doctor with your bariatric clinic and see what they say

i have also had apnea since childhood my husband noticed i stopped breathing within the first few months of us living together after about 15 years of sleeping through shifts of early mornings school/work i got my tests done at hopkins and they found out i stop breathing 70x an hour wow now i cant sleep with out my machine. i use the wisp mask it just goes over your nose and yes i am a stomach sleeper and sleep quite comfortably with it on and have for the past year. it took two nights to get used to the pressure then nighty night

i dont think i have a hernia but i wont be sure until i have the egd but what i cant remeber is if i need one or not lol

suprisingly everyone i have told has been super supportive and on board helping me get to appointments since i dont drive and helping me sort out the vitamins and keeping me honest about my new diet i love my support system i cant wait to lose all this weight and go work out at the gym with my friend rick i would love to have his abs

i used to like slimfast but i was told i cant use it ive had atkins and i really like that special k is good and so is muscle milk

make sure you call your insurance company and ask to speak with the bariatric cordinater thats how i got the ball rolling if they dont have one of those ask to speak with the prior authorirasation hotline they will know your requirements

having sleep apnea and diabetes is good for getting aproved esspecially if your bmi is lower or around 40 that way if you lose weight and go below a 40 bmi for most insurances

one slip up does not define your whole journey no one is perfect that is what the therapist and support groups are for to enable you to make better choices dont beat your self up and go into the classic dieters shame spiral well i messed up to day so now its all ruined just make better choiced the next meal not the next day or week next meal and get back on the wagon dust your self off and recognise your only human and you have come farther each day then the last i believe in you if you need a buddy just message me or find me on facebook jessica ellison-correa

@@dmc7399 have you considered going to mexico i know there are a lot of people on this site that have gone and have had great results and speak very highly of the facilities theres a whole thread on it on this site. it only costs like 5 grand as opposed to the us where the surgery can be upwards of 20 grand and that doesnt include hospital stays or visits to the surgeon or the tests you need to get the procedure. just something to look into

im so sorry thats really depressing starting all over but its for your health so even though its one more year its the light at the end of the tunnel

i have not had the surgery yet but so far my husband who is a rockstar and supporting me through it all my mother in law who is a saint and basically became my mom when i entered this family all my sister in laws who are happy that im getting it done for my health and the guys in our dungeons and dragons group because we meet every week and they are our closest friends and will know something is up when im not eating like i used to oh also my two best friends who were in my wedding and my dad who basically had no reaction

i start my 6 month wait offically sept 9th and i go all the way to feb like 2 or 12 im not sure. i should be having my surgery early to late march early april at the latest

its ok im in the same boat i have my 6 month wait with monthly nutrition classes and one of the things the nut harped on was no smoothies well i went on vacation this past week and had 3 of them ouch lol but im back on the band wagon today
