Remember your middle is swollen, not just the incisions that you can see, but the inside took a beating when they cut into you.You will notice more weight loss around the middle once you heal. Give yourself 6 weeks or so and the middle will look better as well.

Oh you guys are so lucky. I had surgery on 8-4-2015 and could not take any pain medicine since I got home on 8-5-2015- long story. Either way, I think I was able tolerate sleeping on my right side about a week out, and then another week later on left, but carefully. I am 25 days post op and just slept on my stomach for the first night last night...yaya -
I had my surgery on 8-4 and am losing hair too. I make sure I am hitting my 60 g protein and take biotin supplements, seems like a lot of hair though, never had this issue before surgery, Always had thick hair.

I think that keeps me from eating too much is the fear of tearing my stomach wide open. Started a new job this past week and have no insurance now so staying within small portions is not too hard with that motivation in mind. My biggest problem is eating too fast, hard not to with only a 30 min lunch. By the time I get to the cafeteria at work and get my food, I only have fiveteen min max. I already threw up once, I stick to Soup now.

What's your vitamin of choice

I am taking Centrum multi chewable. I used to eat them like candy before the surgery, now they give me a bit of acid reflux. Hmm.. I am curious how the patch man is gonna come out with labs. If they are fine, I may consider doing a patch myself Does the glue irritate your skin? -
Eating before its time ..

Ah, ladies, if you are not getting enough protein, like I wasn't, expect for your hair to start falling out. I had some hair flying out, I freaked out and thanks to another lady here found a good solution for me. Went to the health store and picked up two bottles of isopure. Tried the black tea- real lemony but had worse and I am tired of shakes, so it was nice to drink a liquid. Not the best tea in the world, but with 40 g of protein in 20 oz, I am sold. I also bought the punch flavor, that is for manana =) I am so .... happy -
Full or Eating too fast?
Aia8215 replied to ladyfrann's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 15 days post op and have been eating full liquids and soft foods for a few days already. I have only been eating, egg over medium, oatmeal and smooshed vegs.Tried tuna, but it was a bit much. Had sushimi, yellowtail, that is fine. If something does not agree, I go back to my oatmeal or make my own Protein shakes with tofu and yogurt and fruit. -

Eating before its time ..
Aia8215 replied to lachellove's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What kinda eating are you talking about.. like a steak or runny oatmeal.. I rushed my soft foods a bit, but I noticed that really oatmeal feels the best. I also bought some silken tofu and blend it with my favorite fruit. That is pretty filling and has protein. I too am sick of protein shakes so I just make my own with fruit, milk, yogurt and silken tofu. I am afraid to eat real food... my husband just made the most delicious fried chicken, but not me.. too afraid of throwing up. -
I feel the same way. I had mine 12 days ago. I normally am full of energy, work two jobs, manage my own rentals, and go to school, but since the surgery, I am just without energy. I need to sleep a good chunk of the day just to make it. I don't think I get all of my protein in , etc because I am just so exhausted. I sleep though my feeding and drinking time. This is nuts.

Oh finally, someone that can relate. I LOVE COKE ZERO. I know it is insane addiction, but I just love the bubbles and the taste. That too for me is hard. Funny because I don't smoke, drink or do drugs, but COKE ZERO....whoop whoop...love it. Well, so I just started cutting back BEFORE I had the surgery. Right before the surgery I got myself down to drinking maybe one every two weeks... and even then it was a 8 oz glass vs. the entire 20 oz bottle. I had surgery on 8-4-15 and trust me I tried dipping my lips and tongue in a nice cool glass of coke, but I think the fear of busting my stomach wide open and just the gas that fills my gut after trying to drink some are proving to be enough of a deterrent for me. I am pretty sure I will sneak little sips here and there if I see it, but I just don't buy it, not here, I can't drink it. So, do yourself a favor, pour out all the Diet Coke you have. Get a 20oz bottle and when you just can't take it, take a small sip. Other than that, find another carbonation free alternative that you can LOVE.
