addiction to carbs/need advice
marwa replied to sbg224's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Been looking for a sleever who follows a ketogenic diet coz from what I read so far I got overwhelmed by its complexity - even though my carb addiction tells me keto is my only way out of this mess. How r u doing so far? How are the macros especially on the Protein side? Would u recommend it for ppl who had done vsg? Any tips on how to get into that lifestyle? Been failing every day for a week now and giving in to my carb cravings every night :/ -
Hi I needed to use an application that would create a virtual model of my body using my measurements. There used to be a website that no longer exists but anyway it didn't use except weight and height. I was wondering if there was some android app that I could data enter my measurements in inches per body part and then get a reflection on how it would be if I lost so and so lbs? Any one?

I'm having little less harsh comments than yours. But they do voice out i should have lost more. Even though I was bedridden for about 5 weeks post op for totally non surgery reason. They are still saying stuff like "u have a long way to go" I was able to shut them up by making a b4/after picture at my 2 months mark so they can see the difference I wasn't trying to defend myself The problem is , I live with them so they can't visually see the change as would someone who hasn't Seen u for a month or two. That's why a picture was worth it. Who ever still wanted to b mean still said u have a long way to go....so I responded, but do u now see the difference? They had to say yes after seeing the picture! then i said ok then....its doesn't mater long or short way to go as long as there is a difference.... and I'm enjoying my long way anyway

Hi I'm about 45 or 50 days post op. Been lucky to get a bad respiratory allergy that kept me bed ridden for 3 weeks or more starting w3 post op Hence only lost 24 lbs during that period. Anyway My problem now that I'm starting to at least get out of bed, is too oo much sleep!!! I didn't make an accurate record of the number of hours But they are definitely 12+ I take my Vitamins, may even take caffaeine and then fall asleep right after running an errand . I'm not hydrated enough, nor eating enough- because I sleep too much ! Is that normal? I can't even start walking to start my exercise program. I'm getting sad rhat I could have lost more if it weren't for the allergy But now sleeping ?! Help?

I am off the antihistamines about 10 days ago. Not sure if they were sedating type or not though. So what u r saying is that the more I'm in bed thr worse I get ? I do have trouble lifting a chair at home rhat I used to easily lift with one hand pre op. Is that what u mean?

Hi guys I'm 5 weeks post op Gonna list down my symptoms and how they threw me off all directions :/ 3rd week started getting a mild cough with a tickling sensation in my throat. My surgeon kept upping my nexium dose and added this drug called ganaton which speeds up stomach movements and aids with Gerd relief. I took some gaviscon and maalox (Otc antacids) Nothing changed for a week However I noticed that by the end of that week my cough got worse with v heavy perfumes or petrol odors So the surgeon asked I check a chest dr. Couldn't afford it So I checked with my gp who asked I start an antihistamine and get back to original nexium dose. Been 8 days with minor improvement The cough however stared having phlegm, it's either transparent or whitish. Gp hen asked to start an antibiotic and a cough med that dissolves and kicks out phlegm. Since then I'm either doing v well Or v bad! (Been 2 or 3 days into my antibiotic) My only problem is that I don't know what's wrong And I don't like keep associating everything with the surgery unless it's really related ! Which i don't know ! It's driving me nuts I'm more inclined to beleive it's a respiratory allergy (can't afford a lab test) since its triggered by the odors and I don't get heartburns at all. However if anyone had anyone similar experience can help? Or if they just know what I should do? cough gets better when I drink hot or warm anise. Or when I take a diazapam! Just so freaked out it could b a permanent thing surgery related. :/// Help?

Constant nausea, morning sickness feeling, allergies, post nasal drip

The problem with both allergy medz (antihistamine) AND acid reducing medz is that they both reduce yr bodies natural mucus secretion Incsse of allergies especially respiratory ones, dry throat means more trigger for coughs. That was my ordeal when I had both together on high doses of acid reduction medz -
Hi I'm 2 weeks post op. I barely drink 1 cup of chicken broth. 1 Jello. 1 yoghurt. 3 cups of unsweetened juice. 1.5 litrs of Water. Haven't lost a single kg starting day 7. Feeling thirsty with dry mouth. Is any of this normal? I can't get myself to eat more of yougurt/jello. And where I live there isn't pure Protein liquid to get. Thanks
