I'm 2 days postop and have had a better day. Able to take 1litre of fluid. Still sicking up my painkillers so am doing this without pain relief which is tough. Feel stronger than yesterday so onwards and upwards! Can't stand the smell of food- can't imagine eating again! Overall it's been exactly like I was told. Good luck to all August sleevers xx

Good luck to everyone for tomorrow. My bag is packed- hope I've not forgotten anything! Feeling very detached today and can't wait till bedtime! Fingers crossed for no complications tomorrow. I'm due in at 11am. Breakfast at 6.30am- 3 tablespoons of Rice Krispies. Then clear fluids til 10.30am so will try and be well hydrated. Not as anxious as I have been all week. Just want it done now so I can start to get my life back. Good luck to all tomorrow's sleevers xxx

Hi all. I'm due for my sleeve on Friday and am suffering from nerves. I've cried a lot today worried about complications and horrible symptoms postop. I've read a lot of posts here the past couple of days that have scared me- people who have regrets. I could use some positivity! It doesn't help that I'm on day 8 of the preop diet and am hungry! Please send positive vibes. I could use someone telling me that it is possible to get good results with a sleeve- I'm very worried it won't work. Sorry to ramble on- it's been an upsetting day.

I had my final preop assessment today. Am exhausted and terrified. The bariatric nurse has made me feel the next six weeks are going to be unbearably horrible. She said nothing of the positive endpoint only the horrible symptoms. She spoke about dilating strictures for ages! I know I need this surgery to stand a chance of being healthy. Only now I'm dreading it. Sorry to be such a worrier- I thought today would be a boost. I was very wrong!

That's just what I needed to hear! Thanks guys. I was feeling overwhelmed after reading of all the complications some folk had had and lost sight of why I'm doing this. I want my life back. I want to be slim and have some control over my food intake. I want to be healthy! I too am a rule follower and am hoping if I stick to plan I'll be ok. I'm under no illusions it'll be hard- I hope I'm up to it. Thanks for your kind words xxx

I'm August 21st. Feeling very daunted by what lies ahead. No longer excited. Is this normal?!
