My surgery was Jan 11 and I stayed in the hospital 2 days. The first 2 days home I was weak and tired but after that most of my energy started coming back.

I'm always hungry but I'm still only 1 week post op and on soft liquids.

Hi I was sleeved on January 11,2016. Feeling good, the first few days were lousy but now I feel good, I want food though. I'm still on soft mushy stuff till next Wednesday.

Welcome shortstuff, I just had my surgery at Tufts medical center, surgery wasn't too bad, just hazy for a day or two, once home the first 3 days I felt like carp but within a week I felt fine. Good luck on your journey.

I'm scheduled for Jan 11, it came so fast, lulunoire, same day!, Mrs A Train, your fiancé is being a jerk, he is jealous of your new and improved body, oh well for him.

Help.....I'm having a hard time getting in all my fiber, any ideas on how I can get more in my .diet

I work in the medical field and there are millions of people on anxiety and/or depression medications, I also take effector, I think anyone who is unhappy with their life, whether it be their weight or something else may take medication to cope, I bet that's what the evaluator meant.

Thanks Ann, I've been eating bran cereal but I'm not supposed to have solids with liquids.

I'm pre-op diet, surgery at end of Dec, early Jan, that's funny though when you say how far along are you, irem me of when I was pregnant!

My dogs are really big and very active, I worry if they try and sleep on me, especially my great Dane.

I have depression and anxiety and they gave me a surgery date of late dec or early Jan, no problem with psych. consult.

I have a food addiction too. The thing is, you can't quit eating, like smoking or drinking alcohol and unhealthy food is all around us, I just drove by a billboard showing a McDonald's burger and I wanted one, I wasn't hungry BUT that burger looked good!!! Life is hard and this is probably the hardest thing you (all of us) will go thru that is truly our OWN obstacle, not our spouses or kids, so that in itself is tough, especially if you always put others first. Well good luck everyone, the struggle goes on.

Glad to here everything is going well, I met my surgeon today and plan is for surgery end of December, I'm thinking ahead about a beach vacation next summer and I completely relate to taking time off for good things instead of using all my time for illness and such. Take care.

Frodo, I would check with your Dr. Maybe they can suggest something to keep the diarrhea in tact.

I'm sure what you mean by arrogant is,please don't judge me. I won't. Quitting smoking sucks, so hard . And trying to eat healthy at the same time is HARD, good luck, I think when you're really ready you will quit. I did 4 years ago,not because of my head k th, just the cost. Just being honest.
