Wow!! You are truly inspiring! !
  3. With your current bmi I would go for the sleeve over bypass. I had my band removed and gained a lot. It's hard to remember years later what it feels like with zero restriction. I was like an empty pit and completely starving in the months before my sleeve.Yep! Just had my band out last Friday and have gained almost 10 pounds! !!! YIKES
  4. Man, I had my band out last Friday and have already gained like 6 pounds! !!!! Ahhhhh

    Did you have the sleeve?
  9. Thanks that's good to know. I mean I know you have to try and not sit around and eat ice cream and gravy. You have to eat a lot of Protein. But after a while with the band, I have up and started eating crappy. Just don't want to carry that on to the sleeve. Probably going to drink protein shakes for a while even after the surgery when I'm able to.So I am very new. Just about 8 weeks out but I find that it is as effective as my band was when I had perfect restriction. Except now I can eat healthy fruits and vegetables and all kinds of Proteins without problems. I read on here about sleeve patients with all sorts of problems with eating and not getting in enough protein and vomiting. This hasn't been my experience even once. I don't know why that is but I guess I'm lucky.Hope I'm lucky too

  12. I just had my band taken out and I'm having the sleeve done in a couple months. I'm worried tho that the same thing will happen with the sleeve. I'll eat to fast or too much and throw up so I can eat more or eat "easy" foods so I can eat more of them. I hope that I don't feel hungry when they take that hormone out of my stomach. I think that will help a lot but I am going to try and I'm going to carry around a measuring cup with me and measure all my meals and not eat more. I was ALWAYS hungry with the band, I just couldn't get much down unless I threw up 5 times first. I just hope this is NOTHING like the band....
  13. Well you should do whatever you feel is best. The only thing that worries me about the bypass is that you miss out on A LOT of nutrients that you need. Gotta take a lot of supplements.
  14. WTG on a successful surgery! I'm happy to hear you got that dreadful device out of you and can eat like a normal person again! I can't wait for that day but with restriction of course I actually wouldn't mind waiting a couple of months in between because it might give me some time to try dieting on my own, which is something I'm also considering. Do you have a date for your sleeve? And how is your recovery going? No just gotta wait about 2 months. It feels so good to not throw up every time I eat! It's actually kind of weird, cause I've been throwing up for 7 years. It's nice tho.
  15. I had a hamburger and ate it like a normal person last night. I was weird after 7 years. But I know it won't last long.. don't wanna get too used to it
  16. I already had the band out yesterday so there's nothing I can do now
  17. Thanks doc! I have Already decided on it and will not change my mind. Already got insurance approval for the removal and the sleeve so I'm good to go. Just waiting. My Dr wants to leave 2 to 3 months in between to reduce the risk of leaking which is fine I guess. Whatever is safest!
  18. Thanks I am excited. Going in 2 hours to hands this THING out!!! Wish I never did it although I did lose 100 Pounds but gained back 30 and still slowly gaining.
  19. Getting my lap band out tomorrow and then have to wait about 2 to 3 months to get the sleeve. Hope I don't gain a ton! But super ready to have this beast out of me!
  20. Oh cool! Well you lost a lot!! Congratz!!
