For VG 10 cc Bandsters ONLY

I had just broke the 70 pound mark this week........I too lost little to nothing for the first several months, in fact, I don't think I lost 10 pounds in the first year. I was getting discouraged but my doctors and staff kept telling me not to worry and that they would get to the place I need to be to start losing.....sure enough, it happened and I have been losing about 1-2 lbs per week since it began. Great feeling breaking the milestones of every 10 lbs range if you know what I mean. I have about another 40 pounds till I am where I want to be, if it takes another year, so be it.....at least I can shop anywhere for clothes now!!!! Ciao

For VG 10 cc Bandsters ONLY

I just had my fouth fill and am up to 8cc's. After the last fill I thought I could go no further, I lost some weight, but as time passed, I felt less restriction and was eating more. Since I had my fill yesterday, I feel that I can't even swallow my spit and it is very uncomfortable. I am roughing it out since it seemed to relax after a couple weeks last time. Also, even though it feels horrible about the not swallowing my spit, I really can since i'm able to drink water very slowly. At this point, I can't imagine any more fills and am afraid to eat anything right now. Will keep you posted!!

    Panic Attacks after Fill

I just had a fill yesterday, funny to read your description of feeling like you can't breath. I have that feeling......I am not having a panic attack but do wonder how I will eat anything. I can barely pass water right now but as I remember from last fill, it seems to relax a bit after a few days. I am going to try to rough it through and see what happens.

first fill and I am scared

Had first fill on 11/01 - Now then fun begins! I found I had little or no restriction after I resumed normal food following the surgery. Since the fill, it is amazing! You feel when you have had enough......to the point that you won't swallow the last bite of food in your mouth. I think it's great to finally have the benefit after going through all this. The actual fill is nothing, literally a few seconds. Like a quick needle. Good luck!!

    1st fill 2cc ???

I had my first fill on Monday, it was 4cc's. I have never read of so much on the first. I will say, I feel an immediate difference. I feel everything hitting the traffic jam and waiting for the merge!! I am glad because for the first six weeks after surgery, I felt no restriction at all. Let the games begin!!!!

    Weird Questions

You said what I was thinking Daniela.......I can't stop thinking about the fact that this thing is in me.......very strange.....I still feel the soreness of the surgery when I lay on my side. I am hoping that after some time, I won't be as aware all the time of the presence of the band.

Doesn't sound very appealing, what are the causes or triggers of them??

Whats a PB that I see mentioned periodically???
  13. Thanks for the words......I couldn't agree more. I go back next monday for first follow up. So far, so good........pain is decreasing and activity is increasing. I refuse to weigh myself other than at the office visits so I have no clue as to progress but after almost two weeks of liquids, I hope I get a decent number on the scale.
  14. Thanks much Alex, I hope I enjoy some of the success you have had w/ the band!!
