Pregnancy after surgery
MollyF22 replied to mrsaizsha_101's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats on being pregnant! I haven't had surgery yet and I'm getting the sleeve but just wanted to say Congrats! Being a mommy is the best feeling. Hope all goes well! -
Medicare Process?
MollyF22 replied to citygirl1962's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm from ohio and use caresource. Not really sure if it's medicare or medicade but I have a 9 month supervised visits and I just got done with my 7th. I will be done in January. I had to have 2 clearances done and my bmi has to be over 50 in order for them to completely pay for it. It will take any where between 1 week to 45 days to get approved. I think it depends on states and how all of it works. I think once you find where you wanna go then it all should work out -

Bloomer, I'm sure you will have surgery in March. We will probably be like a month apart. I should have mine in February. I hope anyways. I am seeing a cardiologist for insurance clearance in order for them to pay for my surgery. I just made the appointment and will get that done next tuesday. @@Tssiemer1, that's funny you kicked your husband out. They are seriously the loudest sleepers. Idk why. They don't think as much as we women do I guess lol. @@chickenmommy25, that's good you have no pain and hopefully you feel better soon though with the nausea. I guess it will all take time. Hopefully thanksgiving doesn't torture you either. Of course if you don't have an appetite then it should be okay. -
I haven't had surgery yet but I have a 3 year old daughter and I had a csection with her. It was basically an emergency one since our heart beats were dropping back n forth. I didn't want a csection at all and it was rough recovery. It sucks when you can't get up right away for your baby. But it is worth it in the end. Children are a blessing. Congrat! Everything will be okay.

Idk how they expect people to sleep like that. When I was all hooked up during my labor with my daughter, it sucked. Hopefully it all goes well. Do you know how long it will take for the test results? Perks, how are you doing? -

I am 26 years old. I am doing a 9 months of supervised visits. I just got done with my 7th month. I will probably have surgery in February. Hopefully. It seems like it's taking forever but I can't even believe it's November. It will be our time soon enough. Good luck! -

I hope you all are doing well and I hope things are getting better. I had my pulmonary clearance today and all he did was check my lungs and said I was clear. So that's one thing down for my insurance. Just got a cardiology clearance to do now. I can't even believe it's November. Good luck with your sleep study @@Tssiemer1! it will be okay! -
Surgery was this morninng. Was canceled half way though.

Well they get all our info together from the last 9 months and he said it can take anywhere between 1 week to 45 days. I'm guessing my surgery will be sometime in February. Kind of sucks with the winter. I pray it doesn't snow. I'm about 45 mins from WC so it will be a drive if it does snow. My weight is 273 right now. I was 276 when I started in March. Ivan said my weight has been steady and that's what insurance companies wanna see. My psych eval is in 2 weeks. Hopefully that goes okay too. They weren't that full when I was there at 1230 but when I was leaving, they had like 6 patients waiting. -
I go through UC in West Chester. They are great and I love them.

I hope your both doing good. It seems like the 1st day is always so rough. It will be worth it in the end though I just had my 7th visit today with Dr. Ivan. My last 9 month supervised visit will be January 6th. I'm so excited. Thank godness the holidays are coming so it can seem like time is going by faster. -

I'm sorry your having a hard time concentrating on other things. Definitely work. It will be okay though since you have had other surgeries and did fine. It sucks that you have to do 2 nights. Do you get to do them at home? It seems like it would be much relaxing doing it at home. -

Thank you Chicken mommy 25. Your lucky you only have to do your prep for a week. We have too for 2 weeks. It's gonna be rough. We will be waiting to see how you are and everything. Good luck and we will be behind you sometime. Bloomer, it's okay if you aren't losing like you want too, they don't really expect you too right? I've been trying to cut pop out. Dr. Ivan told me as long as we maintain our weight that's good but I'm sure they would like us to lose some. It will all hopefully go away as soon as we get our surgery. No stopping us then lol. With all the holidays coming up, it sucks too in a way. I can't believe October is almost over -

How is everyone doing? I go see Dr.Ivan in almost a week. It will be my 7th visit with him out of 9. I really can't wait. I won't see him again until Dec 2nd since there isn't any November dates. I'm hoping maybe the will just schedule me at the end of December to get my 9 months done. So I will have 2 separate visits but I doubt it will happen. I do get to do the psych eval next month that I'm still nervous about lol. -

@perk, you don't have too much longer. It will be here before you know it. @@Tssiemer1, that would be good if you get it done in next month. Being around for thanksgiving would suck in a way though. Hopefully everything goes good for you. It's crazy how many people they are getting in already. It kind of sucks in a way since appointments are being hard to come by. I guess I will see the 28th when I go in. -

@@Tssiemer1, did you hear anything back yet? It kind of sucks in a way since it seems like sometimes UC doesn't really know what their doing. I also feel like they are starting to get over booked by having alot of people starting their process. When we were there together, it was so packed in the little room. When I started 6 months ago, it definitely wasn't as packed. Maybe some days are just busier then others. @@Bloomer723, we missed each other at the zoo by a couple days. Did you go to cincinnati one? My mother in law works there so we go alot when we can. I am so excited for Festival of lights. My favorite at the zoo. My daughter is gonna be so thrilled with all the lights. -

I don't care for the shakes either. Well the ones uc carries but I will drink them anyways when it's time. They aren't the worst but no flavor really. I haven't tried the chocolate. The 2 week liquid diet is gonna be so hard and miserable. Every 3 hours too. It will be worth it in the end at least. I'm sure you will be able to lose 7 pounds again. The cooler weather is coming. It was a great day at the zoo today with my daughter. We are doing a pumpkin patch next weekend. Seems like every weekend is filled for this month. I don't see Ivan until the 28th then psych eval next month early. I'm still nervous about that lol. @perks good luck with your surgery. Let us know how you are. I hope the liquid diet is going okay for you too. -

Thanks Bloomer. I am a bit better today about everything. I couldn't sleep until 9am this morning. I had to take nyquil just to go to sleep. I'm trying a positive mind about how it went down and try to be better about it instead of hating myself and being sad. At least he's not suffering. Time will go by though and I just hope I can be okay. At least my daughter keeps me company. She's 3 lol. The pre op 2 weeks are going to suck for the most part. I'm not looking forward to that at all. Head hunger is gonna be there too. It sucks that some people don't even have to have a pre op diet for long. Just a couple days ahead or have a meal with it too. We can do it though. Take a day at a time and it will be worth it. -

That's good. Hopefully everything will turn out good for you. It seems like we all jump through hoops for the surgery. Kind of crazy. I can't even believe it's October already. This cold sucks and it's not even too cold. I've already had a horrible October starting out though. One of cats had to be put down last night due to flea infestation at my dad's house. He got anemic. Having a bit of a hard time but I will be okay as time heals I hope. -
