Bloomer, when I talked to my insurance they said they didn't receive my request either then got the call like 2 days later or so. My call took 8 business days. I'm sure you will hear something by the end of the week. -
I had my surgery the 12th and I was so scared of anesthesia. I remember them giving me a drunk shot before hand and it hit me before we went through the OR doors. I remember them having me get to the table, asking if I liked country music then made me take like 3 breathes from the mask n I was out. Woke up in recovery with what felt like heartburn.

Thank you Tssiemer, how are you doing? Are you still doing the process? -
So I was wondering what symptoms anyone had for a leak? I took some milk of magnesia last night. I've had watery stool since 11pm. I woke up at 8am feeling nauseous, stomach pains and really thirsty. I'm thinking I might be dehydrated. Just wanted some input. I'm definitely going to the hospital to be checked out.

Thank you. I really appreciate that. At first I couldn't drink cold water. It hurt going down. I've actually been fine with it now and eating my jello n popsicles too. Definitely can't wait for the day that I can have my normal foods lol.

Doing much better today. Been shopping and had to deal with a backed up drain in my basement laundry room. I feel kind of weak whenever I go to stores. It's weird but my body is getting used to my less calories and all that fun stuff. I'm so happy that I'm getting better. Sleeping normal too besides stomach. -
I did go. I was just dehydrated and got some fluids in. My labs came back great and I would of been alot more sick if I had a leak. Thank goodness it wasnt. I'm feeling fine today. Thanks for asking.

Sounds great. I'm 5'1 lol. Us short girls. I definitely see you hitting your weight again. I miss being a size 18. I'm jelly. I'm a 24 right now. Hopefully to be a 22 soon. I still have all of my old clothes and luckily my mother in law used to be around my size so me n her share clothes and I have most of her clothes from back in the day. So at least I have some 22s and 18s too. I am doing much better tonight by the way since earlier. No more stomach pains. Mouth is definitely more wet. Been drinking G2 gatorade to help too. -

I'm sure UC is better. I mean Good Sam is good too. That's where I delivered my daughter but I feel like UC takes this surgery so serious and it's comforting to know that. Alot of people get frustrated that they have to do all these tests and wait forever but it makes things better for us in the end. I can't wait to know when you have surgery. What's your weight? And how much do you wanna be? I am 245 and wouldn't mind even just being 200. The smallest I would wanna be is 170 maybe. -

As I was being rolled into a different room today, a nurse was coming into my room and said that she heard that I had the sleeve and she just had hers done 6 weeks ago. She told me it was gonna get better and I didn't really get a chance to talk to her. She's lost 52 pounds. I talked to her as we left and told her how much I appreciate her talking to me. She's on full foods and got hers done there at Good Sam. I had no idea they even did it. -

I did get fluids. I got frustrated at first because when I told them what was going on, the lady who checked me in was like you know all of your symptoms are apart of your surgery right? Like no really? I have a super dry mouth to where I can't even produce saliva and can't pee. I've been fine since I took that medicine last night. My body drank a bag of fluids within an hour. It was thirsty. I asked about checking me for a leak and they said since my labs weren't bad and my stomach sounded okay then it probably wasn't one. I would be in alot more pain too and more sick. I'm sure she told the on call doctor what was going on too. My stomach still feels like sore feeling like I'm getting over a virus. The thought of food makes me sick. -

I'm doing okay. I didn't call our office which I should have but I just didn't want to risk anything more by waiting on the phone. I was getting worse as time went on. I was just dehydrated a bit and all of my labs came back great. They called the doctor on call while I was there. My stomach is super sore feeling and is trying to adjust back to normal. Between vomiting last weekend and loose stools this weekend. It's probably so worn out. Thanks for all the advice. I just didn't want to risk any chances. -

It might be rough for you to sleep in bed for the first couple nights. I tried sleeping in bed by day 3. It hurt a little bit and pulled my an muscles on the left side. So I took some milk of magnesia last night and since 11pm I've had watery stools. I woke up at 8am feeling nauseous and stomach pains. I'm thirsty too. I'm waiting for my mother in law to get out of Church then I'm going to Good Sam to make sure I don't have a leak. Or what's going on. I've only had like maybe 3 hours of sleep. I'm so tired. I'm freezing cold too but my husband was bad and had the ac on last night. Turned it down to 69 without me knowing. So I'm wrapped up in sweats, hoodie and a blanket. Drinking some water. -

Purée Diet - I'm so lost
MollyF22 replied to kalea_04's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can I ask how the ricotta bake is puree? I'm just wondering. It sounds so good and I start my puree stage March 13th. Thinking ahead lol -
Everyone tells me I'm tooo young, opinions?
MollyF22 replied to befitnotskinny's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
No way are you too young. Your starting at a young age and the doctors love to see that. It's better to start now then later. I'm 26 and had mine done the 12th. It's life changing and it's gonna be great. Rough sometimes but just stay positive -

Good morning everyone! So it's a bit after 7am and I am up. Went to bed at like 3am. I only sleep like 4 hours and I'm up. It suckssss. I'm talking to Dr. Thompson on Wednesday to see what's going on and how I can be back to sleeping better. So yesterday was my 1st week post op. I actually felt pretty good. My insicions aren't really bothering me anymore. Their getting smaller too. I'm still wanting food pretty bad but I just try to keep myself busy and not think about it. This is the hardest part. I see some people talk about puree chicken or tuna salad. I think I'm definitely trying that when I start next month. There's no way I'm puree everything. I mean I will with fruit but no vegs or meats. I might try baby food but I doubt it lol. The nutritionist said there's a book on our list that we get for her class that is really good for the puree stage so I might see which one. I'm definitely thinking about puree chili even too. I like meat spaghetti sauce alot. April 13th is the soft stage.....it can't come soon enough Hope everyone has a great weekend. -
Totally hating myself
MollyF22 replied to 2016NewMe's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't beat yourself up about it. We all make mistakes. I didn't do my 2 week diet very good either. It's gonna be okay. I just had surgery a week ago. -

So I don't think soup and yogurt settle with me due to my milk intolerance. I woke up with a tummy ache and have had it pretty much all day off n on. I also haven't been to the bathroom in a week so that probably doesn't help. I will try miralax tommrow since I'm past 5 days. I am also having really bad left side pain like I pulled a muscle so I probably did while trying to clean up around my house a little bit. I've been taking it easy today. I am also having some back pain to where it feels so tired but can't relax. My body feels like that too. Like I'm anxious. I don't think my body is used to me being such a bum lately. I am usually working or cleaning. I also don't have good posture due to my insicions. I'm relaxing now in my recliner in my bedroom with the heating pad -

I just stop after a couple bites. It's so hard not to drink water after bites too. Definitely with yogurt since it's so thick. I will probably talk to Thompson on Wednesday about how to eat and how to figure everything out. -

Well even if you gain some weight, your insurance will already be approved. Your gonna lose weight on the liquid diet for the 2 weeks. I was more active at work and walk alot so that helped with me losing weight before surgery. Since surgery though, I've lost 7 pounds already. I did cream of broccoli soup tonight and it went down okay. I'm just worried over over eating. Which I don't really. But this whole getting full thing, is hard -
If you feel fine, you should be okay. You are listening to your body and honestly no one can tell you how your going to do until you figure it out your self. It's so hard eating this clear liquids for so long. I'm tired of sweet stuff too so I'm doing soup tonight as well. I think as long as you don't over eat or eating bread or pasta such as whole bunch of carbs then you will be fine. It's gonna be okay. No one really understands what we go through. It's definitely hard

Thank you Kyboo. I'm trying soup tonight since it's on our list and I'm tired of all the sweet stuff. It's gonna be harder with the soup though since I haven't tried something so filling. We will see how it goes. -

Bloomer that's so exciting and I'm so happy. Did you lose anymore weight as your last weigh? You will get weighed 3 more times though before surgery. It's weird because in the hospital they have scales in the bed. They weighed me in my bed while prepping me friday morning. The nurse said i weighed you , do you want to know what it is ? I was like what? Lol. I was confused.
