Bloomer we will be in the same boat pretty much. These months are gonna seem forever in a way. But at least it's almost October now. I just hope the snow doesn't decide to come when we have surgery. Tssiemer, I'm sorry you had a false positive drug test. But at least your kind of almost done. I wish we were having the surgery done in November. The only thing I haven't done is the psych eval. That's the only thing I have left for them. That will be done in November. Hopefully your sleep consultation will go good too. So much jumping through hoops. -

I'm over 50 and that's the only way my insurance is covering it is if I'm over that. Hopefully Dr.Ivan got back to you on that. @@Tssiemer1 when are you able to get surgery? -
Gastric sleeve and birth control
MollyF22 replied to meganliz0824's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I will be in the same boat. I take the pill. It can cause blood clots so that's why we gotta stop. I think we can start it back within a week of surgery. Hopefully someone can help you with the shot question. -

MollyF22 replied to Nurse_Lenora's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm with you too. Was supposed to be done with my 9 months in November but appointments are screwed up and taken. My 9 months will be done early January. -

Also, I carry that purse because it's not a purse purse you know? I'm not too girly and need something like that to hold important stuff. When I was working, I saw a customer have one so I looked it up lol. -

That's great you saw me. I wish I could of talked to you. Maybe we will see each other again. I still got 4 more months probably. @@Bloomer723 how did your appointments go friday? -
Hi! I am on caresource and in the process of getting the sleeve. I'm 6 months in on my appointments of today. I should find out when I'm having surgery sometime in January. I also needed 9 months. Cardio and pulmonary clearance too. Bmi has to be over 50 I think. I go to UC West Chester. They are great. Love them. Not sure where you are. I didn't need a referral either.

I have an open schedule too so they didn't have any open spots at all. I started this journey March 30th. I only have a cardio clearance and pulmonary clearance too next month that's it for my insurance. I go all December without an appointment. Kind of sucks. I am upset about it but I can't really do anything. Maybe something will change but probably not. My time will come when it's supposed to be. It will be okay. @@Tssiemer1 I think we were in the office together. Were you wearing all black? Glasses? My last name was Fraley. I almost talked to you but wasn't sure if you wanted to talk or not. We also have the same purse but mine is blue instead of pink. -

Well my last 9 month visit isn't until January now. When it was supposed to be at the end of November. They couldn't find an open appointment in either of November or December so now it adds an extra month. Dr. Ivan said it's gonna take 1 week to 45 days after they get all my 9 month paperwork done and then they schedule my surgery. Then he has us go 3 more weeks for surgery prep stuff. Like 2 different classes then talk to anesthesia doctors. I'm kind of upset about considering it won't be until February until I have my surgery if everything is gonna take that long. -

@@Bloomer723 I will let you know. I love seeing him. I already did the fitness and dietician too. They are both easy and the ladies are both nice. @@Tssiemer1 I met Dr. Thompson about 2 months ago maybe, he's really nice and will help with any questions you have. -

@@Bloomer723 I remember you saying that now. Hopefully time goes by a little faster. I'm starting to get nervous and not even close to the surgery date really. Still not even sure what day yet either. I go see dr. Ivan on Wednesday. I'm excited about that. I love seeing him. -
I want the gastric sleeve surgery so bad
MollyF22 replied to VeroN86's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm sure you will get it. My insurance required me to be over 50 bmi in order for them to pay for all of it. And I was. Mine is 52 bmi. Maybe a little less now. I have caresource. I'm from ohio. Hopefully you get this and just explain to her why you want it. It will be okay! -

Former csection mommies
MollyF22 replied to MollyF22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you everyone for your answers. I have only had 1 csection 3 years ago and I know the recovery of the sleeve won't be easy either. I just wanted to see how it was gonna be. Csections are horrible. I hate the fact that there are alot of people who think it's easy and not a big deal when it really is. I appreciate all the posts though -
I am 25 and will be 26 in December when I have my surgery. I talked to my fitness lady and she said since we are so young, the skin will tighten up when we build out muscle from working out. It will be okay! I'm sure if you see your fitness trainer then they are gonna help you.

I'm sorry to hear about your father passing. My mother passed too when I was 16. Almost 10 years ago. But not weight related. I'm happy to have you guys to talk too and I'm happy that we all go to the same place! -

Thank you for letting me know. I guess I'm just nervous since it's kind of up to her if we get the surgery. Like if our minds are ready enough. I know we are all definitely ready. I'm 25 and ready to be back myself. And be healthy for my daughter. My dad had the bypass in 07. I watched him struggle with the pain and how he eats. The sleeve is different but that's what I'm getting. I think UC is great though and will take good care of us. -

I will have mine done either November or December sometime hopefully. I've been going since March 30th and my insurance is requiring 9 months of supervised visits. I do the psych evaluation October 6th I believe. I am so nervous for that part. -
