Yes, Dr. K is absolutely wonderful and I would recommend anyone going to him. I'm feeling very good. I was able to sleep on my stomach for the first time last night -- i hope that's ok that I did that!

OK--I'm totally lost...I just had my post op appt. with Dr. K last week. All is good and I'm completely psyched...he had who I am assuming was his med student in there...I know I was introduced, but the whole process was kind of overwhelming and I forgot...the only people I've met are Dr. K (of course) and this guy...he has kind of longish hair that he keeps putting behind his ears??? Who's this guy? What's his name...I'd like to know who I'm daydreaming about...hahaha!! Hey...I gotta have something, right?:wub:

Hi! Congratulations on getting started with the Lap Band. I'm also 27 and I was banded on 2/6. I'm down 18 lbs. right now, since the beginning of my 10-day pre-op diet. I still have a long journey ahead, but what incentive!! I think part of it is psychological, but I'm never hungry!! I've not had a fill yet...I get my first fill on 3/10. I cannot wait!! You guys--I'm seriously so excited about this life change I'm making -- and so happy I'm making it in my 20's so I can really enjoy the rest of my life and not hold back because of my weight!! It's great having LBT to talk with others that are going through the same thing. :wub:

Hi everyone! I got banded on Wednesday...I am so tired, and have been sleeping a lot! My stomach is more tender, and i'm having some discomfort, more so than pain. I'm still having the gas pains. even just typing on the computer is kind of wearing me out. But, I've lost 11 pounds so far, since i started my 10 day pre-op. I'm excited for the future and what is coming, but i'm still really tired now, so i'm gonna cut this short and get some more rest!

Hi everyone! I am getting banded on Wednesday with Dr. K--absolutely can't wait!!! I went out shopping for all of the post op stuff i will need. I'll let you all know how i do!! :eek:

Hi Again! I had my appt with Dr. K and he was absolutely wonderful! I have my nutritional consult on Wednesday and I am getting banded on 2/6/08. I CAN'T believe it!!! I never really thought that Banding was an option for me and I'm just sooo excited!! Luckily, I have friends who are happy for me and aren't getting sick & tired of my constant excitement over my future! I'll let you all know how it goes once I get banded. Yeah me!!

Hi everyone!! My name is Lindsay and I'm 27, married with 2 kids...I met with Dr. Kirshenbaum in Aurora, CO on 1/11 and I'm getting banded on 2/6/08...I am so excited!! I have to go on a 10 day pre-op diet that I will be started relatively soon. I'm just so excited about this...I have about 100+ pounds to lose...I'm glad to have this forum and share with everyone here, especially in my age range, about your experiences and progress... :welldoneclap:

It was very easy for me...I'm self pay so I'm not having to go through a lot of hoops like I would if I were going through insurance. I did research on my own for about 1 1/2 months, found Dr. K (who is wonderful) and went to see him...I was able to schedule my surgery right then & there. The dietician will be calling me to tell me what to do & provide suggestions for my 10 day pre-op diet.

Hi everyone! I'm very excited because I have an initial appointment with Dr. K on Friday. I have been doing quite a bit of research and LBT has definitely been helpful to me in coming up with different questions that I have or should have that I never thought about before coming to LBT. I love this forum, you all seem to be a great support to eachother and I'm looking forward to developing relationships with all of you and helping eachother through this journey. I am a 27 year old wife & mother to 2 beautiful girls, and "Grandma" to my daughters pride & joy, her hamster, Tinsel. I live in the Colorado Springs area and was lucky enough to find Dr. K in Denver. I will be self pay, so the cost really helps me out, although was not the sole reason for going with him. I'm anxious to hear about your experiences with Dr. K and see your progress! :whoo:
