Champagne bubbles is the best way to describe this feeling and no, I am not drinking actual champagne. After I eat or sometimes after I drink I get this bubbling up feeling like little champagne bubbles rising to the top of the glass. I don't belch but I just feel it. So many new feelings post op! Anyone else have champagne bubbles?

Is this still Considered a Monthly Nutrition Visit?
Nurse_Lenora replied to reachbree's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The only I problem I ran into was the appointments being less than 30 days apart. Less than 30 doesn't count....more than 30 is fine. -

Anyone know of any public weighing scales in the US?
Nurse_Lenora replied to Athenyx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Check out the gym in your hotel or the spa If your doing air bnb type stays maybe they have a bathroom scale you can use.... I would suggest too, don't get overly upset because there can be differences between scales so if your a bit heavier from one scale to the next no worries! -
What Change Did You Make that You Never Thought You Could?
Nurse_Lenora replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Sugar. I was never a OMG I'm going to eat that entire chocolate cake type. Or even someone who had sweets daily. I was however addicted to my coffee with sugar and cream. As a nurse I drank 5-6 cups a day...with sugar and cream. That I thought would be the hardest to give up. Turns out, after 2 weeks of being completely sugar free and putting vanilla premier Protein in my coffee I was able to transition to Splenda. And I love it! Funny part is if I put in more than one packet of Splenda I think my coffee is too sweet! My, how things change..... I never ever thought I could be a sugar free person and enjoy it! -

Nurse_Lenora replied to olydott's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
As a nurse I can totally relate! My big thing is thickened liquid for patients. Thickened Water is vile ! I'm currently in soft foods stage and all I do is chew each bite about 34-40 times until what is in my mouth is baby food consistency. My current favorite foods are tuna tartare, sashimi , ground turkey and chili. It can be done! Check out the nutrition section of these boards for some great ideas ....I have many recipes written down in a notebook I want to try ....the ones I like will go in my Paprika app for future use. -

I agree. One of the reasons I participate in BariatricPal so frequently is because it is anonymous AND is not tied to Facebook. This is something we should all be mindful of. In addition, remember that anything you post here or elsewhere can be searchable, so please don't post private information (like email addresses and phone numbers) online. I see too many people do this and don't think they realize how vulnerable they are. I agree completely! I quit FB a few years ago because I didn't want to be "tracked" by others. I definitely don't want people knowing my business unless I choose to tell them -
Welcome to the boards! Good luck on your weight loss journey

Fat Shaming Husband...so hurt
Nurse_Lenora replied to Bluesky1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well, my post was in part due to my own personal experience and although no one is perfect I am now with a partner who would never ridicule or emotionally abuse me. I was not as lucky in the past. So my opinion is based on personal experience as well as professional experience. -
That's the site I used Grace. When I did it I believe it was 100$ but the price may have gone up. It was completely legit [emoji4]

The one thing I wish I had on my weekend trip was a small collapsible Tupperware container. Every morning I had a egg and chorizo burrito minus the tortilla and was not able to finish it of course and wish I had a small container to keep the leftovers for later. I know this site has them in the Bariatric pal store. -
Fat Shaming Husband...so hurt
Nurse_Lenora replied to Bluesky1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have not read every post so I apologize if I reiterate what someone has already said. Abuse is not always visible, abuse is not always physical. Many times psychological and emotional abuse are much worse than physical abuse and no one should shame their partner and ridicule them. I'm sorry OP but I would seriously consider moving on to someone who loves and appreciates you. Relationships should not hurt. Hurt physically or emotionally. Please seek help and not from someone in the church but from a medical professional. Marriage and family counselor or psychologist.
