I would explain the situation ...small child at home, up to bathroom etc. Trust me he has seen it all before and it should not have a negative effect. He will just analyze the data you have logged. Good luck!

Yikes! I would just call insurance and obtain paperwork to be reimbursed, just ask what documentation they need. Canceled check, receipt etc and submit for reimbursement Good luck -
That's awesome! I emailed it to myself so I can print it tonight....

Help! When will I regain my energy?
Nurse_Lenora replied to Segulah613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's normal for you to get a point in the day where you feel tired, surgery or not. There is always a natural circadian rhythm dip. For me it's about 3-4pm and after 4 I'm good! I usually just the to get in a cup of coffee or walk to wake myself up and get through it. Good luck! -

I used to be the one who was always squeezing my partners hand. That above mentioned flight to Charlotte her poor hand was red ???? But since I have started doing research, reading FA blogs, and articles written by Pilots I am much better! Sometimes I am the one calming my partner! What a change ???? I think a lot of my fear stems from my mothers fear of flying and seeing that as a child sparked that in me. -

I am also not beholden to the Hospital cafeteria to provide a decent meal. God knows that is always hit or miss! -
Yes!!! It's best to ask your surgeon and or nutritionist about caffeine amount and when. But you can also check out a recent thread on how we all make our coffee. It's pretty popular and a wealth of knowledge.

Much like us, show up at the gate, 30 minute turn and look for something, anything to eat. McDonalds, Chipotle,...... some kind of fast food. Then we inhale it and sit in the seat for the next 3 hours get to the hotel knocked but up for bar food.I will say that now that I am doing my liquid pre op diet it's easier!I was just saying how much easier my mornings are because "packing a lunch" means grabbing protein shakes, broth and pre made high protein jell-o. So not only is it easier to pack but I'm always prepared which is HUGE for me. Hope you find it just as easy when you transition to pre op diet -

I agree, I always joke that when we hit turbulence I start praying more than a Nun doing stations of the cross! (For non Catholics that involves a ton of praying...like hours worth) I know turbulence is normal but sometimes I'm like ????. Once on a flight to Charlotte from Chicago we hit bad turbulence and it was not just the up and down variety but right to left rocking and I WAS SO DONE!! hahahaha I also watch tv or movies on my iPad or iPhone...strange enough I watch medical shows like ER. Things I can relate to! Lol -

And let me also say it's common for Nurses to not have time to take a break due to very sick patients etc. what do we do? Eat the crummy snacks we stock on the unit. Graham crackers, jell-o, Juice etc.... -

I truly think that as healthcare providers we are trained to always put others first. As a student nurse I had clinical instructors who actively advocated ALWAYS skipping your lunch break to spend more time with your patients. It's nice but you also need time for yourself to eat and be healthy. So we are always last on the list until one day we decide to make a change. -

Best way I have found to make coffee
Nurse_Lenora replied to Nurse_Lenora's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I should also say that the reason I use protein shakes or powder in my coffee is because I loathe any and all sugar substitutes. I have tried them all and just nah..... -

Loved your video! I will keep an eye out for future videos also. I am an apprehensive flyer and what has helped me recently is to watch you tube videos and read blogs done by flight attendants. I figure if they can fly almost daily I can so fly every once in a while! One of my favorites on YouTube is TheFAlife. She even has a video on fear of flying.....good luck! -
