Thank you all so much for your HELP! You have given me ALOT to think about and ask questions!! You guys are heaven sent!!

I am totally new to this! I have met with the surgeron and have been to the informational meeting! I have been approved by my insurance! I just have all of my pre-operational tests to do. I've been reading a lot and I'm starting to get scared! I'm hearing about sliming! No soda after the surgery for life! Can't eat bread! Can drink liquor! Can't have certain veggies! Liquid diets before and after surgery! I'm just starting to question is this really for me! I guess I'm just looking for some guidance. I am going to speak to a dietian and she specializes in Lap Banding...but just scared that if I go through all of this...am I going to stick to it! I LOVE food...is the surgery worth it?? I know its about will power and if I want it bad enough...but this surgery seem pretty scary! So any advice or help anyone can give me would be great! :help::help::help:

Jeri, what were some of the complications that you encountered? I am doing pre-op test now. Is there anything that you wish you knew before the operation that you would tell others? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
