Hi there! My name is Alicia and I am 34 years old. i have been heavy for the majority of my life, but have only been seriously fighting a losing battle for the past six years. Due to health concerns and a slowly increasing weigh gain problem my doctor recommended I consider bariatric surgery. 
 
I was completely against this at first.
 
I did, however, attend a seminar they recommended. And after having a one on one with the doctor who would perform the surgery I was convinced. 
 
I spent 5 months visiting a nutritionist before my surgery was approved, and I am currently on week 2 of my pre-op liquid diet. 
 
I decided to start looking for a forum or a support group when I started feeling a need to see how others were dealing with this torture that is a liquid diet and here I am!
