  1. I had the opposite. Had my surgery almost a year ago, and just had my gallbladder out a month ago. Having far less complications with the thing gone than when it was in there! Im sure we can all relate.

    Hit ONE-DERLAND TODAY!

@@Proud2BMe It means that you are officially in the 100's in weight. And since it is so wonderful to those who are in our journey, the term just means that much more!
  3. Its been a long time coming and a huge victory on my journey to reach one-derland and today it happened! I am 11 months out from surgery and down 123 lbs total. By far the best decision I ever made for myself! How has the surgery changed your life?
  4. Stalls are the worst. I am coming out of a long one right now too. But, CONGRATS! Be proud of how far you have come and will still go!
  5. This is an amazing success story! I was at the same starting weight and down 120 lbs at 11 months out now. Had a bit of a stall, but I know that things will pick up again. How was your pregnancy with the surgery? I am wanting / hoping to get pregnant close to my one year mark, so wondering how your body did with tha. Thanks for sharing.

    Looking for support

Hi Betty, Sounds like you had a rough start with this journey. Sorry to hear about that. I would definitely recommend that you go see your dietician. They can lead you in the right directions of what to start out eating especially with your bowel trauma. I would recommend that you start by eating easy, soft foods: eggs, plain shredded chicken, smoothies etc. Introduce solid foods slowly. As far as the "bubble" feeling, it does lessen with time, but I still get bubbles when I eat certain foods or drink liquids but not as bad as when it was right after surgery. Good luck with everything!
  7. I LOVE reading all of this! I reached my 100 lb loss at about 7 months. I am down 115 total now at 9.5 months out. Good luck on your journey!

    Gall bladder?

I think that I am having the same issues. How did you all figure out that is what it was? I have an appointment with my primary care physician next week and assuming that he can write me a referral to go get it checked. Just wondering how you all got tested and confirmed that's what it was for you? The pain is the WORST thing I could imagine, so while I am not excited at the thought of another surgery, I definitely want to get rid of this pain!
  9. Isn't it such a crazy turn of events that now the scale is our friend? Makes me even laugh to think about it. I avoided scales like the plague for years and years and now I'm excited to get on it and see my progress. It has even made me cry... happy tears of course. Oh, how the times have changed!

    Exercising

I agree with the others. Start slow. Anything is more than not doing anything so let yourself be proud of that. Keep walking and then slowly add other intense exercising into the routine. During exercise, make sure to hydrate a lot and before a workout, I would eat something light like a protein bar or nuts. Something that will help fuel you but not weigh you down.
  11. Congrats! Doesn't it feel amazing! Just wait, they will continue. It is such a great motivator to keep going!

    Sizing down in clothes

As others said above, it could be a few different things. But, enjoy it! This will not be the last pair of jeans you buy on this journey. 7 months out, not one thing I had in my closet before surgery is still in there. Pants, tops, bras, underwear, shoes... they are all going to be replaced. Give it a week or two and those jeans that are a little tight will feel looser. My advice is when you are dropping sizes is to buy a little tight in the beginning. They will last you longer. Because trust me, it goes FAST! Good luck!

    So I lost 100 lbs!

@@ssflbelle Thanks for all your encouragement! You will be on the path before you know it. I did not have to do any dieting before surgery, my insurance did not require it. All my weight loss has been post surgery. You definitely can do it too! Its so fun and is such a great journey! January or February will be here before you know it! Let me know how its going for you!
