I'll have to buy some cottage cheese tomorrow. But I did eat scrambled eggs and oh my goodness it was the best lol!

    Day 10!

I hate cottage cheese but right about now it sounds like lobster and streak to me lol.
  3. I thought I was the only person that felt weak. I live up 3 flights of stairs and I am literally out of breath once I make it to my door. And I'm not in the mood to do anything. AND I'M HUNGRY!

I just bought some and it is delicious
  5. This may be a silly question, but can I drink almond milk instead of fat free milk? I'm 9 days post op

    Dumping and bananas

The banana was probably a little too sweet.
  7. Hello all, I have a question. I am five days post-op, but I wanted to know if I can eat mashed potatoes if I make it very creamy with skim milk. If pudding is allowed, what about mashed potatoes. Thanks
  8. Hello guys, I'm five days post-op, and today I ate a whole cup of yogurt with a little milk mixed in it. Did I over do it? ????
  9. I had my surgery last Tuesday, and proud to say that I've lost 17 pounds thus far lol! But when I was in the hospital, I was given cream of wheat. Is anyone else eating it? It sounds good right about now even though I despise eating it ????

    Constipation

I thought about prune juice earlier but the sugar in it is what stopped me. But doing it 50/50 sounds like would work and take out some of the sugar. I will do this tomorrow. Thanks Niki and everyone!

    Constipation

I've been taking stool softener daily and tried an enema today. I'm not at the point where I can eat an apple ...8 days post-op. I'm just frustrated right now. I don't feel like eating anything. I'm a little depressed after having this surgery.
  14. I guess everyone is different. My sister had her gastric bypass surgery around 15 or 16 years ago. She can eat, but still has trouble with certain foods such as ketchup, ice cream, rice, and yogurt. And she said pasta fills her up extremely fast. My mom on the other hand had her surgery like 13 or 14 years ago and pretty much can anything except for rice regular sodas, and ice cream.

It could be trapped gas from something you ate. Maybe you should check with your doctor or his/her nurse to see if you can take Gas-X.
  17. Yes, it's hard for me to get down water too, but the yogurt ...I don't know!
  18. And yogurt is on my list as a food of choice.
  19. It did take longer than 30 minutes ... And I perceived produced a lot of gas! I didn't feel any discomfort other than the gas.

Make sure you are relaxing and not overdoing anything you're not supposed to.

    5 days post op

Hi Niki, I am having the same problem and I'm five days post-op as well. But I think it's because it is a main incision and it's still trying to heal.
