Finding Before and After Pictures of men is proving difficult as the main forum is mainly women. I think we men should share some success photos here in the guys forum. I will share as soon as I have some results. Surgery in 1 month! I need some inspiration.

Lower chest and upper tummy pain
Mjdld replied to kelwilliams's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am having the same symptoms and it scares me too. What was the resolution? -
So, since I started this thread, and have some progress to share, I feel like I should finally contribute some of my photos. I had Gastric Bypass on 4/13. Started liquid diet on 4/1. Starting weight: 292. Current weight: 195. Total weight loss: 97 lbs.

@@OKCPirate - remember when you said that? Allow me to direct your eyes to the quote below: I told you, women flocking to the beefcake thread! I am happy to state that I read this post all the time as well. It is really inspirational to me as well! I hope that soon I will have my own pictures on here. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and I've already lost 40lbs (including pre-op liquid diet...) It makes me feel very good and successful!

*MALE ONLY* How long did it take you to get your approval from insurance?
Mjdld replied to illailla's topic in The Guys’ Room
I had a nightmare situation. I should have reported my insurance, BCBS Empire Blue. They first denied me because my general doctor had me visit his nurse practitioner for one of my 6 month diet reports. My doctor then signed a note at the bottom of the report stating that he supervised and approved the report. We resubmitted all the paperwork. Then the insurance denied it again because the doctor didn't put "MD" after his signature. Because it was the second denial we had to have an outside third party appeal. They approved it in 2 days. The biggest issue was that because they forced me through the appeal process, I was forced to postpone the surgery past the end of the year when all my out of pocket maximums reset. Now the surgery was going to cost me $5000 instead of $2000. I am convinced they did this on purpose. They really are scoundrels. It took me 3 months ultimately to get approved. -
Thanks for posting. Very inspiring!!!

Is it possible to go back to work 10 days after surgery? My work is not going to be strenuous, just meetings... Thoughts?

Thanks for you reply. I would be taking the train and walking to work so driving wouldn't be an issue. Good to know!!!

Mjdld replied to trucker36's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just found out Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield in New York now requires 7 months. It totally sucks as I am scheduled down to the wire.
