  1. That super frustrating moment when you've lost over a hundred pounds but you are still quite plus size, and nothing fits but new clothes are super expensive because you are still in high sizes... and it's winter so you're freezing your new, smaller butt off. >.<

You've had a couple of good suggestions already. I'll add that, if you stick to the "classic"/basic/simple styles at stores like Penney, the lower quality isn't always so noticeable and the prices are not irritating.

do you have thrift stores nearby? I've found a few items that I was able to either alter or make do. If you sew or know someone who does, maybe they can take in the items to buy you some time. Plus no need to have a full wardrobe until you reach goal size. It would be great if there were a local clothing exchange as well, where someone losing weight would donate clothes and be able to take some without exchange of money.

I'm still plus size so I understand. I've been making due by altering a few things like skirt with elastic waist that I have just shortened the elastic on. I was a bit of a shoaholic so I have clothes in my closet all the way down to a 16 and I'm enjoying wearing them afain as many were designer things. I bought a few dress but just inexpensive Old Navy dresses for under $10 when they are onsale. Other than that I limit my new clothing purchases to gym clothes.
