  1. Today I learned that I most likely have a very big surgery to reconstruct my left ALC coming up... which means six months of pain, limited mobility, and physical therapy. I'm only three months post op from my RNY, and I need the exercise I simply can't get right now, and now won't be able to do for a long time. I feel like I could cry. :(

      Physical therapy can definitely count as exercise...

      And I'm sure that the therapist will be able to give you info on some upper body training you can do while the ACL heals...

      Plus, don't cry...

      I'm a man and we really don't know what to do when that happens...

      David Stamps has several chair exercise videos for people with limited range of motion. Some that I know about are: Chair Boxing, Chair Tai Chi, Chair Salsa, and Bedfast Exercises. All are do-able after knee surgery. I have had both knees replaced along with ACL repair, and David's videos really kept me from going bat crazy.
