    Just a little brag..

    Oh I'm extremely jealous
  2. @leesa962 I was exactly like that for the first couple weeks. They weren't worried, just said to make sure I stay hydrated.

    No longer in "Mommy Jeans"

The one pair of jeans I have that fit me are a size I haven't fit into for a decade. It's a great feeling, isn't it? Though I'm trying to picture "mommy jeans" and it's pretty amusing, lol

8/17/15. Down about 80 from surgery, plus then ten pounds or so I lost on the preoperative diet.

    Food

@@Dark-Horse I would highly recommend myfitnesspal.com to track your food. I've been using it since before surgery and I've used it every day since and it is a HUGE help. And it's free. @@dannieeliza check out some of the Soups and other stuff in the BP store. I was getting extremely bored with y food as well but then I bought a bunch of soups, bouillons, and Entrees from there to just shake it up and I found a lot of stuff that's actually really good. I especially like the chicken with Pasta Soup, cream of chicken, cream of tomato, and beef bouillon. I bought some cheesesteak pasta and I'm excited to try it.

Amazing! I'm very close to your current weight, and I've lost about 135 from my highest. It's strange to have lost so much, and still know there's a decently long road ahead of us. But this is very inspiring, thanks for sharing. When was your surgery date?

    6 days post op

It's hard in the beginning to know exactly when to stop, because the nerves are still healing and you're simply not going to feel full exactly when you should. Just take it slow, and you'll learn eventually exactly what amounts work for you and what doesn't.
  8. It's officially my birthday and I have officially made it to 80 pounds lost since surgery mid-August. Awesome birthday present, body! :)

  9. I'm a little over 4 months post op, and the first couple months were a roller coaster of emotions for me. I spent a lot of time super depressed, or anxious, or both. Now, things are starting to balance out and my mood is definitely balancing out as well. If you do have hormonal issues, they will get better.

LOOK LOOK LOOK! I'M IN THE TWO'S

@@Sharon1964 I was almost the exact same weight 4 and a half months ago! 402. Now I'm at 309... close! Congrats.

    360+ pounds?!? help!

I was 387 on the day of surgery. I just hit 4 months post op on the 17th, and I'm down almost 80 pounds. I had the bypass.

    4 month check in!

awesome job! Are you down 105 since surgery or overall? My date was August 17th, so I'm curious
  13. i would like to follow this as well. Great question.
  14. My whole first week was entirely liquid, @@pink22 and they weren't concerned. Just told me to focus even more on liquids to prevent dehydration.

    3 Days post-op!

It only gets better from here. In a few days you'll be really amazed at how quickly your pain decreases. Try to get in some short, slow walks, and just keep sipping, sipping, sipping, and you'll be just fine very soon.
  16. @@winklie that is exactly where I am right now. My ever-faithful smooth move tea was no match for the hardcore antibiotic and pain pills I've been on for the past week since getting my impacted wisdom tooth out. I had to break out the big guns today because I couldn't stand the infrequent pebbles and intestinal cramps. Thanks for coming through for me, MoM.

    Grrrr!????

that always annoyed me too. My bari office's scale was 7 pounds more than my home scale, which is calibrated daily and accurate to .1 of a pound.
  18. Late last week, I started back on a hormone balancing medication for my PCOS, and not only did my stall end but I've lost 6 pounds since Monday... ha! XD

  19. Ugh, what a nightmare! This guy doesn't even deserve the title of doctor. Not only did he screw up monumentally but now he's trying to cover his ass from all angles instead of fixing his botched work. not only is he an awful doctor but he's an awful person. I hope you have much better luck and professionalism with your next surgeon!
  20. Hello ladies! I had my RNY almost 4 months ago and I've lost almost 70 pounds since then. Part of the reason I chose RNY is because it has been shown to reduce the symptoms of PCOS more than any other weight loss surgery, and the thought of my awful symptoms reducing is incredibly appealing to me. My question here today is 3-fold: Did any of you with PCOS notice a change in your symptoms for the better or worse? How far out were you when these changes began? Did your PCOS affect your weight loss in any way? I've had two periods and one really weird spotting incident since surgery. Both periods have been painful beyond anything I've experienced. I woke up this morning with the distinct feeling that someone is rubbing a cheese grater against the inside of my uterus. I'm hormonal, weepy, and craving huge amounts of food for the first time since surgery (which I obviously cannot, nor do I want to, give in to). I also believe my stall, which has been going on for 2 weeks, is from my strange hormone imbalances. I have an appointment with my PCOS specialist in just a few days, but I would really like to hear some of your experiences. This is so, SO not fun at all. Thanks for listening to me whine. I hope some of you can offer me some advice or experiences.

    Happy One Year Anniversary

My highest weight is very similar to your starting weight. I can only hope to be as successful as you have been by next August. congrats, and thanks for sharing!

    Age 23, NJ/NY, 1Y 9M Post-Op

Hey, I'm 23 too! I'm Abby, from Rochester NY. I had my RNY on August 17th, so I'm only 4 months post op. I started at a higher BMI as well. Can't wait to be 170 pounds down from surgery. It's nice to meet you.
  25. Always so entertaining. XD The only thing I would add, for people who don't want to go straight to Miralax or MoM, is perhaps Smooth Move tea... worked wonders for me. In fact, based on the bitchiness of my own ass this evening, i think it's time to brew up another mug or two.
