You look amazing!!

I'm about your exact stats! Started at 240, now I'm 160. My skin isn't bad at all. I have always worked out, though. Also, my problem areas are my thighs and butt. I have a little loose skin around my thighs, but I think only I notice it. I'm thinking about a tummy tuck and boob lift, but that's from kids more than weight I think.

I had my sleeve surgery on 9/28. It gets SO much better. Be patient and give yourself time. I'm still not 100% healed. It's a big learning curve, but I think if you embrace it and enjoy it, you will love it! I had my surgery at Menorah in Overland Park

Urinary retention/ catheterization 3 weeks post-op
bibleajosc replied to sk110857's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I had it right after surgery. But my catheter was out after a week. It might be related to a drug you are taking. I would HIGHLY recommend you go to a urologist, not your surgeon. The surgeon will most likely not know much about it. When I saw the urologist they were extremely helpful. Are you still taking pain meds? -
Focus sidelined. Feeling stuck.

Very sorry to hear this. So discouraging. Take care of yourself and I've said a prayer for you. -
I get it-but mine is from sleeping on that hip. Bursitis. The thing that helps mine the most is going to the chiropractor. Yours sounds a bit different, but could be less cushion in that area? Mine will hurt badly too when I am not laying on it.

Very unpleasant post op day 6 & 7.

When I had my surgery, I had drug induced urinary retention. I could feel the urge to pee but couldn't go. Had a catheter for a week. It sucked and of all the things I was surely not prepared for that! -
Really Struggling Post-Surgery-Need Help!
bibleajosc replied to blueyedpryncess's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm about exactly the same as you! I'm 21 days and was starting to do a bit better but the fluids are so difficult. Water still hurts. My dr has me doing diluted apple juice with no sugar and add lemon to water. It helps but I'm nowhere near 64 oz. my dr says do the best I can and I'll get there. I'm making sure I do a protein shake and feel like I'm drinking constantly. -
Me too. It's annoying but I know it's temporary.

Lest than a week post op
bibleajosc replied to MissAKY's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I freaked out because I did to much and started having deep pain like I pulled something. My dr said it's pretty common and take it easy. I did for a few days and it's much better. Yesterday I had a sneezing fit and hurt my right side. I think this early on its two steps forward and one back. One thing my dr did say is be careful using pain meds and doing too much because it doesn't hurt. Good luck!! -
Search theworldaccordingtoeggface.com Great advice and recipes. Lots of puréed info.

I've been telling some people who don't need to know that I hernia repair (which I did). It's been easier to tell folks after the fact for me though. Because then they can't really make judgements. I've already had the surgery! Most people I thought would not be supportive have been very supportive. It's been odd.

Boobs. Boohoo!

I'm having trouble with insomnia too. Reflux is also giving me a hard time. I have times where I feel exhausted but most of the time I'm doing ok. The reflux is driving me nuts. I'm hoping when I can sleep actually laying down that will be better!

Great job! Thanks so much for sharing! -
I'm Amy. I am a mom and a real estate agent. Both jobs I love. My daughter is a senior in high school (17), my son is a Freshman (15) and my other son is in sixth grade (11). They keep me so busy, but I love being their mom. We are a very active family. My husband is a doctor and that is a blessing and curse:) He suggested lap band to me 10 years ago and I shrugged it off until about a year ago. At that point, I felt like I actually HAD tried every diet there is! I'm scared of failing again even with my sleeve. I went to meet with my surgeon originally about lap band, but between her and a friend who was sleeved a year ago, I thought this was a better fit. I'm looking forward to enjoying our active life without high blood pressure, joint pain and being tired all the time. We love to travel, ride horses, go to the lake and attend sporting events, theater, opera and concerts. You name it and we will likely try it! I'm happy to have found a support system here that can fit into my busy life.

Hi had surgery on 29th....
bibleajosc replied to mouse1972rb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
She told me to just do antacid. I see her tomorrow. I've been doing the pepcid complete and that seems to be helping. I'm glad I'm not the only one not eating much! I did feel quite a bit better today. -
