  1. Laura4923 does your hot chocolate contains milk? I can not have milk anymore. I buy fat free fairlife it's lactose free
  2. Because I do 2 protein shakes a day or 1 shake and a protein bar some days I feel like I need the chips or the sunflower seeds.lol. I just get tired of the sweet taste. But my weight-loss is still on track. As long as the scale keeps moving I'm fine
  3. What are some of you guys cravings or guilty pleasures since getting sleeved. I eat at least 1 bag of the plain kettle cooked panera bread chips a week. They have almost no protein (like 2 grams ) but they so have "good fats" like the polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats. Also I am completely obsessed with Davids jumbo original sunflower seeds. I buy the low sodium brand because they have a lot of salt but these are surprisingly high in protein. 1 serving size which is 1/4 a cup is 9 grams of protein. These also are filled with "good fats", The polyunsaturated and monounsaturated.
  4. Thecat what's your goal weight if you don't mind me asking? You seem pretty small at 143 already
  5. Thanks lealor. I would love to see a gastric dietitian so I can educate myself properly. The current nutritionist is absolutely oblivious to the nutritional needs of someone post op but she was great pre op. Most of times she asked me to ask fellow sleevers from the support groups what they are eating at this point and use that as a guideline.
  6. UalreadyKnow are you drinking decaffeinated coffee or regular?
  7. Lealor but isn't the 1200 calorie range for a "normal" person that's trying to lose weight. I know someone 1 year post op and she still has trouble reaching that calorie range. I was told recently by another sleever not a nutritionist that at 5 months post op we should be consuming between 500-700 calories. Is this information incorrect? If so I need to see a nutri nutrionist asap lol
  8. Wow theatrejo I'm way under 1000 calories. I'm sometimes under 600! This could explain the hair loss and recent fatigue because I just started cardio 2 weeks ago 3-4 times a week but haven't made any changes to my diet, including adding more calories. I just can't eat anymore after getting my Fluids and proteins in.
  9. Thanks UalreadyKnow! I sometimes feel as though I'm eating to many calories. Do you mind sharing What a typical day for you looks like?
  10. First off thank you for sharing and you are incredibly beautiful. Your photos are not bad at all as I have Googled loose skin after WLS and I have seen 10X worse! I am mostly impressed by your Arms(they look great). And your a super Mom so add that to your resume because you birthed those amazing children and did so naturally. My question to you is are you strength training and if so what's your routine? I'm 5 months post op HW:349, CW:260, Goal Weight:170, my height is 5'8

    Fruits

I experienced dumping from 2 mango slices and I'm 5 months post op. Everyone is different. Also I can't have bananas or else I'll experience severe diarrhea. However I have had canned pears in its own juice only a few bites as well as canned peaches with no side effects. You should probably try those and only a few bites
  12. I was sleeved on August 21st 2015. Highest weight 349 current weight 260. I lost 89 pounds so far and I am very happy about it. My goal weight is 170. My question for the group is what are you guys eating now approaching 5 months post op. This is my day: Breakfast:Premier Protein Shake Lunch:2oz Fish/Chicken/Turkey Meatball with 1 ounces of vegetables Dinner:Premier Protein Shake Snack:2oz Chicken/Tuna Salad with 2 whole wheat crackers Fluids: 67.6 ounces of water (4-16.9oz water bottles from Costco Exercise: 60 min cardio 3-4X a week depending on the week I haven't started strength training yet. Thinking about hiring a personal trainer when I hit around 230 pounds. Then the trainer can help me get to my 170 goal plus tone

    Binging before surgery

I weighed in at 350 pounds at my pre-op appt. The surgeon recommended a liquid diet of 5 protein shakes and 1 lean and green meal which was a chicken, tuna, or turkey salad for the full 12 days leading up to my Surgery. To be honest i did cheat on my preop diet. I actually cheated more than once lol but I walked 2 miles everyday and worked out quite a bit. My weight the day of surgery (8/21) was 326 pounds. So even though I cheated i still managed to loose the goal weight for surgery. Im 2 days post op and I feel great.my advice to you is if you do cheat on the preop diet make it up by working out even harder

3 days post op and hungry.

I am post op day 2 and although i dont feel hungry I have head hunger. Its like i know t I haven't eaten since 12Am the day before my Surgery. I am sipping Isopure, Water, and Chicken Broth alternating my liquids when I'm awake and the so called "hunger" has subsided. I can only sip though as i feel extremely full
